The Story
Ruri is the embodiment of Kingdom Hearts, created to help the key blade user. When the new threat arrived, Kingdom Hearts created her once more. The first time she was created was when Kingdom Hearts felt threatened by Master Xenort. She helped Ven, Terra, and Aqua.
Ruri was created into the Strife family in Hallow Bastion and was never with her brother during the day. [[ She also considers Sephiroth to be her brother because he is Cloud's dark side of his heart, same with Kadj, Yazzo, and Laws due to the J-E-N-O-V-A cells. ]]
She would always be helping Ansem the Wise and his apprentices study hearts, as she wanted to know more about her self. It was not until Hallow Bastion was being swallowed by the darkness that they had discovered that she was Kingdom Hearts.
When she had first met Sora, she was living in Travers Town, always picking fights and trying to find out more clues to Clouds where-abouts. When she first met Riku, she had asked him what he was doing in Travers town and said if she had found Sora she would tell him. Shortly after she had meet Sora and began on to help him, Donald, and Goofy.
When Maleficent finally captured Ruri, knowing now what she was, Riku asked her why she was helping Sora and trying to keep Kairi's heart missing. Ruri, trying to stay with a pure heart, told him that Kingdom Hearts had created her to protect the Key barer, not the Princesses of Heart. Riku didn't fully understand but he knew that he felt something for her. He let her go and to save Hallow Bastion after the Keyhole was sealed, she gave up her heart.
When the door was shut only then when she regain her heart. And she did.
Because Kingdom Hearts created her, she was never whole, and had a Nobody and a Heartless that was made into one. We know her now as Ruri. Even though she had no true heart, she could pass as a Nobody. Ruri was the XIV member of Organization XIII, but betrayed them along side with Roxas. Her title there was ‘The Kingdom hearts Successor’.
When Riku and DiZ had finally informed her of why they need Roxas, she said that she would go into the Parallel Twilight Town, to make sure he would be safe. She came out a year older when Sora had returned and helped him, as well as Goofy and Donald, with their new journey.
She had given up her heart to protect Kingdom Hearts and her friends [[ Riku, Sora, Kairi, Donald, Goofy ]] when Xemnas was going to use its power. In that event, everything about her was destroyed, all but her memories. Her friends in the different worlds were looking for away to bring her back but have had no success. She was able to talk to them by giving Riku information in his dreams, but after 3 years, all talking stopped, and she was unable to communicate to anyone. Riku was the only one who she had given the information to. They had fallen in love, and that is what kept them close but that was not the only thing. Their hearts were connected through Kingdom Hearts, destined to help each other find the light and be saved from the darkness.
They found away to get Ruri back and when she came back, she was not totally the same. She had learned many new things in Kingdom Hearts and she was to teach Sora much more than he ever knew about the key blade, and get Roxas back without hurting Sora.
