. Chapter Two-The Door
. Oh Gaspé
(Tens years later)

"Wake up Shun, gosh what a slouch you are. Come on today is the day
where going to the festival! Gosh your so slow. Why do I have to take
care of you? I mean I am your younger sister. Your such a slob," yells
the annoyed little girl as she berates her older brother.
She is about ten though she looks about eight. She has the same
green eyes as Shun, the little child, and has the same black fine hair.
Her hair went down to her waist and reflected light like it was water.
Her name is very sweet. She is called Kaori.
The room has a twin sized bed. There are two windows going far
down to the bottom of the streets in Tokyo. A computer on a
desk with many papers.Cloths is scattered all over the floor.
Out of the room led to another room with kitchen
utilities and a washing machine. A bathroom and a shower in a door off to
the other side of the room. Another door, by the bathroom, words run down
it that say Kaori. Finally there is one last door it is right by the windows of the kitchen. It is always locked. The owners said that they should never open it no matter what. Though you think it would led outside it didn't it was a mystery, and that was all they said about it. Apparently they were the only ones in the whole apartment complex to have a door that could never be opened.
Shun suddenly jumps at Kaori and scares her. She falls off the bed,
Shun grabs her wrist. Kaori declares, "That was close. Wow!"
Shun nods his head. "Oh let's get ready to go to the festival!"
Kaori goes to grab her blue with a red strip coat and calls for
Shun to hurry up. Kaori, impatient, after a minute cries, "Shuuuniiii
what are you doing!"
Shun faced an altar with his mother father and in the top
center his granpa. Shun praying by the altar, finally looks up and
nods.

(scene change, I will use this to change scenes in a chapter or to pass time)
Down at the festival people ran around to the stalls. There were all sorts of decorations in the trees and stalls. Some stalls were selling food, games, cloths, books, masks, and many more items of everything you can imagine.
Shun remarks, "Wow it'll be very pretty at night. Kaori, are you
going to go put on your kosode (for those who don't know it's like a
short sleeved kimono that is often worn for festiveness) for night?"
"I guess..." Kaori mumbles.
"Is something bothering you? You aren't acting norm..."
"Hey Shun!" a girl yells.
She looks about Shun's age. Her skin is smooth and soft. She has
blue eyes. Her lips are smooth and red and they almost had an evil
presence on them. She was a little shorter than Shun. She runs
gracefully. She is also very cute. As she runs toward Shun many guys
and even girls gawked at her.
"Hey what are you doing here, Misaki?"
"Well it is a festival so why can't I be here!" argues Misaki.
"Okay, okay I guess. So who are you with today?"
"Well I came here alone." I'm glad to see you! I have something to
ask you. Can I join you in the festival?"
"Sure, why not!"
"But Shuuuuuuunnnnnniiiiiiii this was supposed to be just us."
grumbles Kaori.
"Well if that's true I guess I'll go!"
"No, you can stay, right Kaori?"
"Fine hmph" Kaori moves her head looking away while crossing arms.
They continue to go around at about noon they go they go to nice
café. There was a T.V. over by in the corner show news.
"There now is a new death toll of more than one hundred thousand deaths. Today over twelve thousand more deaths today as North Korea attempted to land off the coast of Nagano, but they got chased of after a bloody battle..."
"Those crazy North Koreans. Even China didn't join in on this crazy
war," Misaki growls.
"Well I think U.N. will be joining us against them," Shun declares.
"Well I gu..."
"Hey why are you ignoring me!" Kaori grumbles.
"Sorry, sorry. Oh look at the time we should go and get Kaori's kosode
before the fireworks. You see this is her first time at a festival. See you sometime soon Misaki."
"Okay, bye!"
Kaori and Shun rush off too the apartment complex and rush to the
elevators to go to the 62 floor.
"Hey, brother do you like her?"
The elevator door dings and the door slide open the walked inside.
Shun pressed the 62 and it lit up in red on both sides of the elevator
door.
"W-w-well not really..." Shun mutters off and blushes.
"So you do like her eh," Kaori nudges him.
Ding the door slides open. Shun runs out and races to there
apartment room.
Shun puts the key in and opens the door and shuts it on his
sister. As she opens the door Shun jumps at her and tickles her half
do death.
"Don't (pant) we havta get (pant) ready," Kaori barely able to
speak.
"Okay, okay well what do you wanna eat for dinner?"
"Ramen!"
"Okay though you shouldn't cause it's unhealthy to eat to much today
is a special day."
Kaori jumps off into her room full of glee. She gets out all her
things from her closet: The kosode, foundation (powder cause the
liquid is oh so annoying), blush (rose pink), eye liner (pencil),
mascara, eye shadow (green and the same shade as her eyes), lipstick
(blood red), and all of her accessories.
Meanwhile in the kitchen/living room Shun is cooking chicken and
puts water on the stove. Shun cut up all kinds of vegetables and put
them into the now steaming water. Shun flips the chicken and the aroma
of the place makes Shun's tummy growl. Shun takes out the ramen noodles
and the seasoning, and puts them into the boiling water. He then takes out three eggs from the refrigerator and also tosses them in to the
delicious ramen.. Shun splits it up into two bowls and places a chicken
on top of each.
"Kaori, dinner is ready what about you?"
"Right there!"
Kaori gracefully leaps out. She is wearing a black and blue kosode
with silver and gold sparkles that made it look like the night sky.
The ribbon around her waist is gold colored trimmed with silver. She looks tremendously pretty and cute. She's wearing a gold bracelet and high heals. Her hair is curled and went up to her shoulders. Her black hair is clean. She looks 14 which is only two years younger than Shun or Misaki.
Shun surprised didn't say anything.
"Sooooooo how do I look?!?"
"Well you look beautiful, I'm surprised you look so much older!
I'm really happy, but you should be careful."
"Who do you think is prettier me or Misaki?"
"Welllllllllllllllll..."
"Stop stalling!"
"Ohh look at the time. We don't wanna miss the fireworks. Also
we need a good spot, and I thought we were gonna meet up with Misaki."
Shun and Kaori ate quickly but neatly and Shun manages to avoid
answering the question. They get up, Kaori cleans off the table and
Shun gets his festive cloths on.

Down at the festival the lights were on. The trees by the sidewalk glittered with light. The festival was at it's greatest. The
street littered with a alarming amount of people. Girls and guys all
dressed up. A lovely romantic place for couples.
Misaki, standing over by a tofu stall, waves hey hand and screams,
"Hey! Shun, Kaori over here."
"So, how do I look?"
She spins a slow, but graceful spin. She's wearing a kimono that is
red and black. The main color is red, while the black intricately laced
all over the kimono. There's a blue ribbon around her waist. She has
also put on a pink bow on the top of her head. She put on blue eye
shadow to match her eye color.
Shun, shocked at how elegant she is, stutters,"Y-you look a-
amazing."
"Well let's go. I know this great spot not to far from here and
nobody goes there!" Misaki excitedly exclaimed.
Misaki went straight and together they ran through the park. They
got to a rundown apartment that is only six stories high. They scale
up the stairs and out onto the roof. Misaki rummages through here bag
and find some mats. She places them on the roof and they all sit.
Mosaki and Kaori both rest on Shun. Kaori rested her head in his
lap. Misaki on his shoulder. Misaki got very close to Shun. Shun
started to blush. They both look at each other. Both staring getting
closer and closer.
"HEY! It started!" Kaori jumps.
Misaki and Shun immediately separate and look to the fireworks. They
didn't look or talk each other for the remainder of the show.
It ended, they all get up and stretching Misaki yawns, "See you in
school."
She runs away while Kaori and Shun stay up on the apartment. They
go to the park and sit by the scenic bay. They put there feet into
Tokyo Bay.
They get up, and walk home slowly. As they reach there apartment
Misaki is standing outside of there door.
"Hey whatcha doing here!" Kaori says slightly irritated.
Misaki defensively declares, "Well I got locked out of my house. I
didn't know where else to go."
"You can stay. Do you need to call anyone? Here come in," Shou
slurrying says.
Shun unlocks the door and the go in.
"Well my parents aren't home right now. Can I have some cloths and
get out of my kimono? Maybe also if it's not to much can I take a
shower?"
Shun mutters, "Uhhh-of course. I think Kaori's cloths are to small,
so you'll haveta wear my cloths though. Our shower is over there,"
Shun nods his head towards the shower's door, "Well come to my room
and help me find something that will fit you."
Nervous Shun and beautiful Misaki walk into Shun's room. They
found a plain white shirt and some shorts. Misaki went over to the
shower.
. . . .
"It's a little bit big like a gown and the shorts are like
caprices. Oh I forgot to ask can I stay the night since my parents
won't be home till next week."
Shun happily says "Sure I guess you could sleep in my bed," Shun
all a sudden realized it how it sound, "Well of course not with me
I'll be sleeping on the couch."
They all got comfortable and sleepy when BOOM the whole apartment
was shaking there was fire over by the entrance door.
Outside fighter planes zoomed by causing a sonic boom. The sky's
just a fiery blur with bomb pellets flying down to the ground some of
the city in a blaze.
Shun wake with the whole room shaking. He gets up screams for Kaori
and Misaki to get up. He first runs to Kaori's room to get her then
Misaki.
They go back to the main room the whole exit is on fire. Misaki
points over to "The Door".
The door is wide open. All that is visible is a purple haze.
"Well nothing else we can do," Shun yells over the explosions.
All together hands grasped tight they go in Shun turns around to
see his grandfather. He seemed laughing.
