For those who were here for the Daily Chance's Unveiling should all know and remember a bug that gave away rare items causing deflation of said items.
Well Gaia started giving away free ink, and prices started to go down on all the inks. Then Ink mixing was disabled for a horrible year.
The Bug and Ink economy suffered big time, rare inks were even more rare, and the inks that could make them were dirt cheap.
People stock piled the basic ink colors and all the colors used a material for mixing the rare/more valuable ink. I say rare because it took a lot of hard work before the Daily Chance came along to get enough ink for a Pink, Purple, or orange, White or gold ink.
Ink buying/selling Prices BEFORE THE DAILY CHANCE
1 Red Ink: 300-600g (depending on seller)
1 Blue Ink 350-650g (depending on seller)
1-2 Black ink 100-200 (depending on seller)
1-5 Brown Ink 10-100g (depending on seller)
1 Green Ink 120-200g (depending on seller)
1 Yellow Ink 100-220g (depending on seller)
1 White Ink 4,000-10,000g (depending on seller)
1 Gold Ink 5,000-12,000g (depending on seller)
1 Orange Ink 3,000-5,000g (depending on seller)
1 Purple Ink 5,000-12,000g (depending on seller)
1 Pink Ink As high as 8,000 if I remember right.
How Many Bugs (at max) does it takes to make these inks (and their mixed forms)
*Bold=mixed ink
Black: 1-50 bugs
Blue: 50 bugs
Yellow: 1-50 Bugs
Red: 1-50 Bugs
Brown: 1-100 bugs
Green: 1-100 bugs
Orange: 1-500 bugs
Purple: 1-500 bugs
White: 1-750 bugs
Gold: 1-800 bugs
Pink: 1-1000
So not only was the prices 1/10 of where they should be, the Gaia had to screw things up even more.
The Tattoo feature came out, and yes the Bug and Ink Industry hit a all time high, but it still caused the economy to become even more chaotic.
Gaia brought back ink mixing, and with all the ink stock piled the market was flooded by stock pile ink and multiple mixed inks that were made from the stock pile ink.
It didn't take long for the soring prices to take a nose dive yet again.
To make matters worst, and this is why i say lanzer lied, Rare/More valuable ink aka mixed ink was now added to the Daily Chance. This was completely unfair to the people who worked hard for the inks, and contradictory to Lanzer's Statement on fairness in this Announcement Click Here
Gaia completely destroyed a Economy that was once as profitable as fishing. To make matters worth Gaia Favors the Fishing Economy and everyone argues that Fishing is like that because of the money that goes into it.
That is BULLS**T
I bought 50% of the ink and/or Bugs I used to make Rarer inks, and it was hard to come out even 5g ahead.
Now just because back before the DC the only thing ink was good for was dying paper for Bouquets doesn't mean it was useless.
People made Bouquets for their Friends and people they had crushes on. It was a supply and Demand situation. People wanted something nice an practical they could give to a friend or someone they liked.
If you had someone who helped you out in getting that Coco/Kiki, You bought them a Bouquet to Say Thank You. If you had a cute girl send you pictures of her Cleavage or more, you sent them a Bouquet to say "THANK YOU!!!!"
The Bug Catching, Ink Making/Mixing, Bouquet Economies were great until Gaia F**ked it up with the Daily Chance.
Hey Lanzer!!! why don't you just cut the middle man out all the way and Give away Tattoos and Bouquets. Put what is left of the once great Economy you Genocide to near extinction.
Hell spray poison in towns and Wipe out bugs altogether and make it where Ink is just something you get from the Daily Chance. Slap Moria and Devin around and scar them out of the Bug Exchange/ Ink Mixing Business.
