It was an insane day yesterday.

Busy like mad at the office. I had to spend a solid hour on the phone with, not a customer (which I love to do) but a sales rep. He's really nice, but he has no functional knowledge of what the systems are supposed to do, so he needed me to tell him how to operate it - and why things worked the way they did. Sometimes I find myself speaking geek and losing them - so I have to turn it into "laymans" terms. *hehe*

Then I finished up the two units that belong to a federal law enforcement agency that will remain nameless because I don't know if I can spill the beans - and they are going back up to DC today. Had to upgrade hardware and then rebuild the software base, create an image, clone the second drive and test. I live for that kind of stuff. It was a goooood day!

We had a bandwith problem that I had to resolve. Turned out one of my routers decided to throw a temper tantrum. Fixed it and all is smooth again. xd

Then there was a grumpy point. We have a prison system we've designed and I have to test the software for that guy, but Chimpy the wonder salesman is driving me bananas so I have put it on the back burner for now. *gah* I guess he's making me nuts because he keeps wanting to test stuff and I have to keep kicking him out of my office. No, bad Chimpy - you sell - I test - go away and sell stuff - and let me be!

Actually if his interfearance continues I'm going to have to speak with him about it. For some reason Chimpy thinks he's managing the project, and he's not - John is. So Chimpy will say, "Lou, can you do this?" And I say, "No." And he looks at me as if I have lost my mind. So, it's pretty funny. I know I get a kick out of it. xd
