Read up on the Gaia MMO a little more and something struck me...
I'm going to really stink at battle. It took me weeks to figure out how to use Trickster - and that was even with a guide who held my hand and walked me through it.
So I'm seriously hoping that I get to help with the beta so it will give me a chance to get up to speed on how it works. I can already imagine - and I know several people who are going to - stay up all day and all night long in order to work their way through the game. I'm talking serious gamers who will wipe N00bs like myself all over the floor.
The good news is that I'm going to get in on the ground floor, regardless of the beta or not. So when folks who are expert gamers come across the site six months after the MMO is released - we'll be on the same playing field. XD
