Hold me til morning Love me right now Catch me, I'm falling It didn't take long for Velvet to spot Aaron, she had been conscious of him from that morning, 'Yeah...a lot.' Xash caught her looking at Aaron and put two and two together, they were texting each other, obviously...something had to be going on with them. Velvet felt her chest tighten when Xash glanced at Aaron, she herself looked over at him again. Please tell me she doesn't have her eyes on him like every other girl...it would be okay if she was every other girl...but she was a werewolf. She wouldn't stick with Aaron if she managed to get him, she'd dump the 'meatboy' as she would probably be saying to the rest of her pack. Aaron felt her eyes on him....back off, he thought, I belong to one young lady no one else. 'Me too....oh before I forget want to have lunch with me today?' He wanted to get off the subject of Xash as soon as possible, he remembered something in his grandmother's book. 'Vel, do you have the book I gave you with you?' 'Yeah, thought I would read it sometime today, why?' she felt Xash's gaze back on her, but she pretended to focus on the professor, writing occasional notes. She noticed though, Xash had all the other guys under her spell. Being a werewolf had it's perks, most werewolves were...well seductive. It wasn't a wonder why wolves fought over for a mate. The strongest, prettier ones ended up living and having stronger, prettier children, hence the natural selection. It also wasn't a wonder that the guys were already staring her down...the outfit she wore wasn't exactly hiding much, just enough to jog their imaginations. Aaron typed back quickly. 'What was the name of the wolf....I'm having problems remembering. You still didn't answer my question about lunch, we can go to my house.' He wanted to talk to her. She had tried to look through the book texting down, 'We can look through the book together at your house. I didn't really read much yet. Plus I should be thanking your mom properly.' The class was dismissed and Velvet began gathering her things when Xash moved up to her, they'd get some words in before Aaron heard enough to put things together. "The daughter of the pack-leader I presume?" Velvet could tell, she was too cocky to be subordinate. Xash smirked, "I've heard about you, a lowly girl, doesn't know if she's meat or a b***h. You're not even something in between so don't act all high and mighty." Velvet sent her a glare, she wasn't worth words. Aaron walked over slowly to Velvet...not wanting to get in between a girl fight, if he had to he would. "Vel, are you ready to go?" he asked calmly. She breathed slowly, answering just as calmly, "Yeah," she gathered the rest of her things and began to leave. Velvet noticed that Xash hadn't made much of a move except to smirk out the window. "We'll see come full moon," reached Velvet's ears sharply, a challenge. It was a disgrace not to take it up. She wished she was old enough for alcohol at that moment, sighing a bit adjusting the tote bag. "I meant to read the book," she explained to Aaron just in case he would ask, "but I got a bit tied up with thinking about something else. Aaron looked at her. "Its alright, Vel, I didn't expect you to get any reading done last night." He smiled at her gently. "...I don't like her, Vel, I want you to be careful around her." "I don't like her either..." she mumbled a bit grudgingly, "You should stay away from her too," Xash knew that if she targeted civilians she could hurt the clan, people would find out about local clans, a newer one would be less suspicious. If Xash gave Velvet a challenge, "Perhaps she'll play by the rules," she added a bit while pulling out the book. "You wanted to know the name of the wolf? Why...was it the same as Xash's?" "Her name is strange....I thought maybe it was a pattern with...never mind we should wait 'til we get to my house." He smiled at her. "We should be there soon." "The higher you are on the pack line...the stranger your name really is. It's because most of the pack decides on a name and they end up mixing suggestions together until it comes to a name," Velvet shrugged a bit, she wasn't very liked in her pack, they were scared because it was a werewolf mixing with a regular wolf. She also had some odd traits in herself, not like a werewolf or a wolf. She couldn't even transform freely...Velvet bit her lip, thinking through it slowly. Aaron opened the door and led her in, his mom was at work, so was his father, so it was just the two of them... 'Your one of them aren't you." He spoke quietly. "A werewolf, and so is Xash...." "Hah, very funny," she paused, knowing that it wouldn't work on Aaron, "Hm...what I said still stands, you're very odd," she commented lightly, "knowing everything and yet still allowing yourself to stay in our presence. With your knowledge, you could ruin us...drive us out," Velvet was being dead serious, she didn't want to threaten Aaron, but if it led to that...maybe she would have to. Then again, she was scared he'd turn out like all the other guys, the way that everyone in the pack said someone of a different race would be like to them...indifference. You couldn't trust them, once they knew, they would bolt, be gone. Forget loving a human. She looked away, taking out the book, and handing it to him, "What'd you want to show me?"
He took the book, then set it down, he grabbed her hand and pulled her close. "I'm not going to run from you, Velvet.." He swallowed a bit, he probably was doing something foolish. "I...I love you, I have since I first laid eyes on you, stay here..." He ran up the stairs and came back, carrying the painting he had done of her, he'd finished it last night. He turned it around to face her. "Its suppose to be you...." He frowned a bit, it was a painting of the night sky a wolf lay next to her. Silver and black, just like the one his grandmother had met. "Its not very good." Her heart beat faster, and when he left and came back she thought she'd die. Velvet tried to focus on controlling her breath, she couldn't be doing this. "It's beautiful..." Her fingertips barely touched the canvas, she didn't want to ruin something for him...she didn't want to ruin his outlook on werewolves. She brought her hand back to her side, "...You're crazy Aaron...truly odd." Her heart ached and she felt hot, "Anyone normal would be calling me a monster, running me out. Look, I...we can't...you can't be in love with me. Don't you see how much danger there is in just the word wolf?" He looked at her, he let out the breathe he'd been holding. "I don't care! Velvet, I love you, and i don't care what you are, I love you because your you. You don't care what others thinking about you, and damn it, you make things difficult on me. I can't touch you, because your worried about your pack, what they may do to me. " he growled a bit, he pulled her close feeling his heart pound. "I love you." He brushed her hair back and kissed her it was brief he let her go. "If you want you can leave." He turned his back on her, not wanting her to see the tears that were threatening to fall. She was breathing hard, the offer barely reached her ears, and she weighed the possibilities swallowing hard. They were in the middle of war, Velvet turned away from him, in two days flat she had ruined his life. She'd do her best to fix it, she bit her lip, trying to stop the tears. She could hear howling in the distance, it would get worse tomorrow, when they were nearing the full moon. Friday...their plans were ruined if she walked out of the door. This was out of fear...this was out of fear, she stopped at the doorway running words and bits from his chastisement through her head. He loves me, he loves me, he accepts me...he loved me. She moved the door knob and with a pang she ran out the door, away from her fears and worries. By the time she reached her apartment, she was choking on tears, trying to breath both from running such a distance in such a short amount of time and the other from tears, not being able to breath. Someone went up to her, "Velvet?!" her mother, just her mother and the female healer, "What's wrong darling?" The female healer put two and two together...pulling Velvet into the house. She wasn't protecting him from the pack...they wouldn't care, she was protecting him from Xash and her pack. Xash could easily go for him, and target him. Aaron didn't even hear the door close...he looked at the canvas, he moved his fingers over it. "...I still love you..." He looked over and took the book, "You left it..." He chuckled, "We forgot about lunch..." His stomach growled, he didn't care, he put everything away, he knew he should head back to school, but he didn't care. I'm skipping this afternoon, I need to think. He couldn't leave the house, not without getting in trouble....but he wanted to walk.Never let go Hold me til morning Love me right now
