nightpaw,nightpaw,its time to morn firepelt
u need to wke up.i heard cinderfootz paw nudging my side and i opend my. i nodded swlowly and she walked out of the den. i slowly got up and made my
outside.
i looked up at the sky and saw the stars of silverpelt looming above and wonderd if firepelt was one of our ancient starclan ancestors shing in those stars now.
i padded acrose the clearing and saw that most of the clan had already gatherd around his body and were remembering him silently and all that he had doe for his clan.i padded over to were stonefang was and plopped down beside him. he looked up at me with sorrow in his eyes.i pressed my muzzel against his hoping that it would comfort him, but it didnt seem to work.he was just a bit older than us. he whisperd so quitly that only i could hear.firepelt should not hve died this young, its not fair. lfe isnt fair stonefang i said gently but bitterly.he looked at me again and said,ur right.y did starclan hve to take him so soon?he had his whole life ahead of him,and now, in the blink of an eye, its gone.we will never understand the ways of starclan till we r actually in starclan will we?he asked simply.i dont think we will.i replied.then,silently i put my head on my paws and thought back to when i had 1st met firepelt.the memories flashed through my mind of how he had picked me up wen i had crashed into him my 1st day outside of the nursery.he had been an apprentice then hadnt he?i told myself.it felt like my whole world had come crashing in on me when suddenly,everything went blank,and my mind swirled into complete darkness
