Nanamo and Amos [In The Beginning]
The rain had been falling for some time now, and the ground was now damp due to it. Thunder sounded after a close bolt of lightning flashed, lighting up a figure that lay in the middle of a path that lead through the woods. The small blond boy seemed dead, and if not, close to it. His eyes were barely open and his body severely beaten. The figure was probably out there when the rain started since he was now soaked not only in blood, but the rain water as well. But the slow, and shaky breaths of his were a small sign of life, even if he looked like he couldn't still be alive.

Small slaps of bare feet on the wet ground reached the goat boy's ears and his eyes cracked open just a bit to spot the small feet of a boy who stood standing in front of him, staring down with silver colored eyes. His dark hood was up to cover him from the rain, but he also held an umbrella over his head. He then squat down, "Goat-kun, what are you doing on the ground?" Amos asked, holding out the umbrella to cover Nanamo from the rain. He gazed softly into those half-alive eyes, curious as to why the boy was so beaten up.

Nanamo just stared up, no energy to answer or speak, he barely had any energy to rais his head. His eyes then close fully and his body went limp.

Amos blinked and sighed. He guessed it couldn't be helped. He bend down, dropping the umbrella beside him. One of his arms went under the smaller boy's shoulders and one arm while the other hooked under his knees. The goat boy looked so frail, and was so light... "Don't worry, key? I'll take care of you." He whispered, turning and walking down the road.

~~~~~~~
Warmth. That was what Nanamo felt before his eyes slowly opened. It took a while before he felt he could move his head and his body and turned to look around the room he was in. He'd never seen this place before. It was probably the near death experience that calmed him so, because he didn't react to the fact that he was in an odd place he'd never seen before. He then slowly looked down at his body to see his bloodied torso had been wrapped, as well as his arms and anywhere else he'd been cut. 'Huh?' He thought in confusion. Something next to him then stirred and he looked over in shock. Oh, so that's why he'd been so warm. He gazed down into that silver hair, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. This boy... he had helped him, carried him, and even dressed his wounds.
"Why?" He asked the air, "Why is help Nanamo? Why?..."
"Because you were hurt." Amos replied, having been napping, not really asleep. He then looked up at Nanamo form those royal red sheets. His silver eyes gazed intently into those brown ones, and Nanamo flushed, looking away. Amos' eyes were just too fierce for him. "I couldn't let you die." Amos continued, looking away and slowly sitting up, stretching his arms a bit. He then looked to the other, "You're cute once the blood is gone." He said with a soft smile. It was true, the little goat boy was adorable. Of course, Amos himself was probably the same age as the boy. He was just a bit taller and perhaps not as thin.
Nanamo flushed further, looking down at his lap with a very pained look. "You is say Nanamo cute, yes? You is must not know what is you talk... Nanamo is ugly, yes? Is why he is no love..." His voice held little to no emotion as he spoke about the lack of kindness that had been shown to him. And if any emotion did poke through, it was sorrow.
Amos' eyes went cold, "Shut up." he said sharply. What he hated more than weak people, it was weak people who complained about being weak. He was not going to allow this adorable boy to be such a person, "You're ugly when you make that face." He said spitefully, "So stop it." He ordered. He didn't want to see that expression on Nanamo's face while he was with him. That look of sadness.
Nanamo looked to him in fear and then quickly changed his facial expression, "Is sorry, yes? Is not mean to..." He then looked serious, eyes furrowed with his mouth straight, almost looking like he was giving an angered pout, "Is better now, yes?" He asked, his voice going lower.
Amos hadn't expected Nanamo to actually listen to his order without question. He was following what he had said without even so much as a though as to if he wanted to or not. He had just... done it. He then looked away, "I didn't mean it like that..." He muttered out. Why was this boy so fragile? He felt as if one wrong move would taint him. Amos wasn't the kind of person who cared much for the well-being of other creatures, but Nanamo was different. It was his innocence, he supposed, that attracted him to him. With so many corrupt in this world, to find one so free of sin... it was just too much to pass up.
Amos then rose, running his hand across his forehead as he took a step towards the door. He needed time to think this all through. After all, he was going to have to figure out what he was going to do with this boy, now that he had taken him in.
"Wait!" Nanamo said in fear, "Is you leave Nanamo alone?" He asked, his frail body shaking with his brown eyes close to tears, "Nanamo is not want to be alone again... Please is not leave alone..." his bottom lip trembled, a tear rolling out of each eye.
Amos was shocked that the boy was so upset over him just wanting to leave the room. His heart pained to see the boy crying and he hated himself for feeling that way. He sighed in annoyance and walked back over, sitting back down on the bed, "Fine, I'll stay." He grumbled, curious as to why he was listening to the demans of such a young, weak child. He usually wasn't the type to take pity on others, and tears usually didn't affect him either. Curious really...
Small arms wrapped around Amos' waist, a blond head hiding itself into the slightly taller boy's shirt. Amos' cheeks gained some color as the goat boy cling to him in such a cute way, "Baka..." Amos muttered, bringing a hand up to softly stroke through he blond locks that were now almost right under his chin. Nanamo sniffled as his head was pet, the tears now flowing freely. The warmth he gained from the figure next to him getting him to relax just a bit.
"Just go back to sleep." Amos ordered, pulling Nanamo from him. He would not be going soft now of all times. He was not some comforting mother that the boy could cry to, he was just there to make sure the boy got better so he could then send him on his way. His silver eyes pierced into those wet brown ones, "Go to sleep." He ordered once more. If Nanamo was going to listen to everything he said, he might as well use it to help the boy recover faster.
Nanamo released Amos almost immediately, laying down in an obedient way. "Okay." He stated, closing his eyes but then seeming to remember something, "But you is gonna not leave, yes?" He asked, pulling the blankets up to his nose, voice going soft, "Just till Nanamo is sleep, yes?" He didn't usually ask for much, but his fear of being alone... all alone... made it hard for him to sleep at night.
Amos sighed and lay back, putting his arms behind his head, "Yeah yeah..." He mumbled, closing his eyes and trying to stay calm through his irritation. It had been cute, but now it was growing annoying. He didn't want to have to baby-sit this little brat for much longer. He was curious as to how much longer his recovery would take.
Nanamo rolled over, closing his own eyes to do as he was told. A small hand reached over and gripped the side of Amos' shirt, nuzzling close for warmth, "Thank you." Nanamo said with a grateful smile, "You is first person who is been nice to Nanamo..." he said with a yawn, slowly drifting off, "Nanamo... is be friend... yes?" He asked, but never got an answer, his breaths going soft to show he had fallen completely asleep.
Amos' cheeks flushed and he brought a hand to his mouth, 'S-s-so cute...' he thought, having to look away. He then felt the grip go a bit loose and then forced himself to look back, noting that the goat boy had fallen completely asleep. He blinked and then sighed, bringing a hand up to softly brush some hair from his face, "Yes, I'm your friend now." He said quietly, not wanting to wake the boy up. He didn’t want anyone to hear it, actually. Such an impact... why did this Nanamo have such an impact on him?
[[Okay, there's the first snippit of it! I'll write the continuation soon. Hopefully this will give you an insite on Amos and Nanamo's relationship and perhaps get you to love Amos as much as I do <33
