As I understand it, it was the dream of Douglas Adams to have the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy made into a Movie. After seeing the movie.......I don't think he be happy with it.
The movie didn't follow the book much at all. I can see a little deviance here and there, but not in the way they did it.
After watching the movie it seemed rushed and poorly put together. They wanted to add too much to the story and ended up ruining it. The Guide wasn't a love story.
In my opinion there are only two groups of people who could like the movie. Group One:The ones who either didn't like or didn't read the books.
Group Two: Those are willing to love what ever hollywood dishes out no matter how crappy they are.
One thing I did think was neat was the fact that the original Marvin costume from the previous HGtG BBC TV series show up during one sceene.

I have yet to see the movie, but I would like to do so. I grew up with the BBC miniseries version myself, and I'm hoping it captures some of the same quirks as that.
Also, the original BBC Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect made cameo appearances at the beginning of the film in the pub sequence I believe. I'm anxious to see that at least ^^;!
P.S. Female you has one CO_OL Chun-Li cosplay there!
