Yep, I'm at 42073 on my word count. I used a wonderful little device called a calculator and calculated 8000 more words to 50k.

I'm getting the feeling this isn't a 50k novel. Cause it's nowhere near finished yet. The love relationship, Tala tells me, hasn't even developed between the two younger MC's. And what happened to the Master after he disappears from his fight with Aiden. I swear that battle was going to last longer. But the Master is in a pissy mood.

And Tala thinks Aiden is dead! Has she no faith? Will she and Aiden ever get to spend more than one night together?
