Well last night i decided to write this, it's way too long and is more like a song than a poem but oh well. comments would be loved.
Mirror
When you look in the mirror, Who do you see? I see you, Staring back at me, Holding my hand, Holding me tall.
I see you in my mirror, Keeping me proud, Keeping me strong. It's like a dream, Everytime I see you.
Calling out your name, Just to feel Near to you To feel your pain And your love.
When you look in the mirror, Who do you see?
Walking down the street, I see you, You don't see me.
It makes me cry, Late at night. My acheing heart, Longs to be with you.
I hold onto hope, Hope that you'll realise, All that I want from you, Is to hold you tight And keep you safe. Through the darkest night, And the lightest day.
When you look in the mirror, Do you see me, Standing next to you? Like I see you, Standing next to me.
You're my angel, From up above, Looking out for me, Through my darest times. Helping me fly, Helping me soar.
But looking back on things, That we've done, I hold my head in shame. I failed you. My darling.
I'm sorry. For all that I did, And all that I was meant to do. I failed you. And I know, It cost you dear.
When you look in the mirror, Who do you see? I used to believe, That it was me. But I failed you, When you needed me. I failed you.
When you look in the mirror, Who do you see? I used to see you. But now you're gone, I see nothing, Nothing but the dark, You've left me, All alone my darling.
When I look in my mirror, Or walk down the street, Or call out a name, Or stare at the sky, I think of you.
Even now, I wish I could help you But you're gone, Out of my reach Out of my life, But still in my heart.
When it's ;late at night, And I'm all alone, I still think of you. Knowing it's my fault, I could've saved you. I could've saved you.
When you look in the mirror, Who do you see?
