Epilogue
They all sat around a camp fire, roasting marshmallows, Eric was trying to feed it to Callista, who just shoved him away. He tumbled down the hill and into the river.
“Hey, its freezing in here! Callista!” He yelled at her.
“Opps, got to go.” she took off running the opposite direction.
Kiori and Orison laughed at them, now that Callista's transformation was complete she could run as fast as Eric and Orison, sometimes faster. Nikki laughed too, and then stuck the marshmallow in her mouth.
“Orison, can I have another one?” She asked.
“you've already had eight.”
“Nine, I've had nine.” Nikki replied. “I want to make it an even ten.”
“Alright I suppose.” He put another marshmallow on her stick, and watched while she cooked it. “Kiori, are you alright?”
“Mmm, yeah I'm fine, just thinking.”
“About?”
“Our future, the future.” She sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder. “I want to be yours forever.”
“Hey, you have to share remember!” Nikki pouted. “Mommy said so.”
The three just laughed.
Eric tackled Callista to the ground, she smiled at him.
“You know, your really heavy.” She pushed him off her.
“I don't think so.” He replied, has she started to run again. “Not this time.”
He picked her up and walked over to the dock, she looked at him, frighten sapphire eyes held his dark black ones. Instead of dropping her, he kissed her.
“Be mine, forever.” She whispered.
“I'm already yours.”
