Chapter 1
Callista didn't say anything to Allan as she passed him; she walked up to Kiori, her best friend, and an aura witch. Callista knew about witches, vampires, and changers, she knew that she went to school with some of them, it didn't surprise her. Nothing surprised her much these days, not since her older sister's death. Her older sister Jolean, who had died just two years ago, still haunted her in her dreams. Of course she hadn't told her parents at the time because she didn't want them to think that she was crazy, or worse send her to a psychiatrist.
“Hey, what's with you and Allan, normally you two hug each other.” Kiori asked.
“We had a fight.” Callista left it at that and Kiori didn't ask anymore questions.

Eric watched Callista enter, and followed her in. He also noticed that she didn't say anything to Allan, maybe things were over for them, he should make his move.
“Hi, Callista,” Eric smiled at her.
“Oh, hi Eric, how are you?” She smiled back; she'd always been rather friendly.
“I'm alright, how's life treating you?” Eric questioned, well at least we're having a conversation.
“It's been rough. Can I tell you something, and you won't think I'm crazy?” She asked.
Eric couldn't believe it, he was actually talking to her, and she was confiding in him? Was she okay?
“Uh, sure,” He replied.
“Callista, baby, can I talk to you?” Allan came up behind her, and put his arm around her waist.
“Can it wait, Allan?” She was irritated; she wanted to talk to Eric, not Allan.
“Actually, I want to apologize for the other day. I was rude, and it was foolish, forgive me?” He gave her puppy dog eyes.
Eric watched, and waited, gently he worked into Callista's mind without her knowing.
How can I resist those eyes? I mean he looks so cute, and it was only a one time thing. After all he is a growing guy, and he is cute, but I could never do that, I don't know Allan that well.
Eric sighed, and turned to leave, he'd never have a chance with Callista, not with Allan involved.
“Okay, I forgive you, but...Eric?” She turned to notice that Eric had left. “Where'd he go?”
“Come on, Callista, I'll walk you to class.”
Callista took Allan's arm, and they walked to class together. She didn't notice that he was looking at Jasmine, who waved at him flirtatiously.

Kiori couldn't stand it, she was about to yell at Callista, to dump the chump. After all she knew what he was thinking, what was on his mind? The normal thing that was on teenage guys minds. She was just glad that she was dating Serpents. Serpents didn't think that way, well he did wander from time to time, but he never thought about it for long. He always told her when he was wandering, but that he was just happy to be there for her, and even if they stopped dating, he would always be there for her.

“Thanks Allan.” Callista kissed his cheek. “I'll see you later, okay?”
“Sure thing, sweetie.” He kissed her back.
Eric watched from a corner, he also saw Allan leave, and when he saw him stop at his locker, he struck. He slammed him against his locker.
“Hey! What's the big idea, Eric?” Allan asked.
“You know, I heard about what you tried to make Callista do the other night, and frankly I don't think you deserve her forgiveness, nor her.” Eric hissed at him, and then released him.
Allan adjusted everything so it was straight, and then headed to gym class. He stared after Eric, what was his problem?
