After multiple attempts, I’ve decided that I’m just too tired to be witty about this—however, breaking news, Shiro has decided to actually start using her journal! As in more than once a month! Holy and oh crap!!
Thing is, I realized that ever since college started, I’ve been ranting about homework and etc. to my friends and family (and roommate and random people in the hall and…) waaaay too much—but why should I burden the people I actually care about with my problems, when I could just clog up the interwebs with them? mrgreen It’s like a more sanitary method of waste disposal or something (plus this way all my friends here can, should they so choose, find out what the heck I’m doing whenever I stop talking to them for days on end).
So, this weekend. *hunted expression* Well, I’m going home for Friday night, and my mom is taking me shopping on Saturday, and for the past couple weeks I’ve been hanging out with my roommate and a friend of hers on Sunday nights… other than that, though, I’m going to have to spend as much of it as I can studying. As usual. I have a 2-3 minute presentation due on Wednesday and a 3-5 page philosophy paper due on Thursday—wait for it—neither one of which I’ve even started on. Not to mention 4 or 6 pages of journal-type-stuff due for anthropology on the 10th of October (which is closer than it sounds), which—what do you know—I haven’t started on. Not to mention literally 9 or 10 other things of varying levels of importance and difficulty. burning_eyes Is it just that I’m a freshman? Are my time-management skills really just that bad? *raises hands imploringly to the heavens* Is this ever going to get any easier?!
Okay, so I suppose it’s not all bad. Well, my sezzy anth professor is going to Alaska next week and the sub is a woman, that’s pretty bad. And those freshman fifteen that I was so sure I was going to avoid? Yeah, I can barely zip up my tightest pair of jeans. But at least math class is really easy; I’ve almost finished reading a whole novel in that class already (and yet I got a 95 on my first midterm =P). In spite of the journals (and not just because of the teacher, I swear!), anth is great; I find it interesting, and I made a 95 on that midterm too. And then there’s anime club! *geeky grin* It’s sad how much I enjoy that…
>_> <_< So, yeah, I guess I’m surviving, for the moment. I’m going to get those papers written this weekend, really. Yeah. *wanders off, twitching occasionally while muttering to self*
