Main Information:
Name:
Rayne Scorra
Age:
Seventeen
Gender:
Female
Orientation:
Straight
Race:
Human (Vampire after turning)
Profession:
Hunter
Preferred Weaponry:
An array of assault knives that are strapped onto various parts of her body. Otherwise, Rayne is known for her usage of martial arts into destroying the body from the inside -- meaning that she hits nerve points. She excels in hand-to-hand-combat. She also has a grasp on magic, both the vampire's and human's depths of it.
Biography:
Rayne grew up into an incredibly infamous clan of vampire hunters. The Scorra clan had been around since the birth of vampires -- and were paid exclusively for their services to eliminate them. Rayne was among one of the dwindling generations of women in their clan, and she bore her heritge proudly. The clan marking, was tattooed into her cheek as a sign for her loyalty. She was only thirteen when a very enraged vampiress stormed upon the Scorra grounds, an army of newborn vampires accompanying her. Struck by fever at the time, Rayne could only watch with a dizzy, woozy horror as they slaughtered her clan. The vampiress, sweeping over her, plucked her up off the ground and showed her to the rest of the clan.
In front of her family, then, she bit Rayne, turning her. As a pureblood, this meant nothing to the vampiress. A captive turning into a new vampire, Rayne struggled with several methods of killing herself before they finally locked her up and chained her inside of a cell. She lived out the turning, and when she awoke several days later, she was greeted by Elizabeth Vezrah, a pureblood, incredibly ancient vampire. Elizabeth took Rayne under her wing, trying to soothe her dark rage and get her to drink (as most oftentimes Rayne passes out from exhaustion from not feeding).
Rayne, now a vampire, suffers with the options of killing herself for turning into a vampire, for staying alive and trying to go back to the Scorra, or simply becoming a different person altogether. She has already attempted suicide several times, using various methods, but Elizabeth's personal guard always thwart the attempts, and forcefully feed her for good measure.
Personality:
Rayne, now consumed with the thoughts of revenge, self-loathing, and a dark rage, often suffers from uncontrollable fits of her own anger. Amazingly, however, these fits only involve her sitting and glaring at the wall -- or slicing open her hands to write on it in her own blood. The vampire's damnation, written in the ancient language that humans created to control magic. She spends a majority of her time plotting, planing, observing, and starving herself so she feels more human. On the flip side to these thoughts, however -- one would be pleased to know that some of it is mostly a cover.
Rayne is terrified of what has happened to her, and wishes desperately for some source of comfort. Having been derived from a family that murdered vampires, it seems impossible that she should sympathsize with them. She's scared, and trying to grasp for some sort of sanity that seems to have eluded her in this time.
