I have been shamefully negligent of Gaia over the summer. Now I'm back at school, though, I welcome the distraction, even though nobody is ever online at the same time as me.
There's something about the first day of school. It's much more emotional than any other day of the school year, particularly in the hours before you actually get to school, in which you are distracted by a vague but nagging trepidation that something major will have changed, somehow.
But obviously it's just a normal day. We had PE and English. We're doing Catcher in the Rye in English, and that overwhelms me with geeky pleasure. It's really sad, but I can't wait to get stuck in. I love that book.
