Well, I just got home yesterday from band camp. It was fun. I swear that is really fat camp, not band camp. The food is barly edible, you work for hours on end, in death heat. It was great. There was barly any dramam in the guard this year. Last year there wasn't a minute without drama. Actually, Tuesday was kinda funny. See, there was a thunderstorm, so the whole band was inside, so the guard was in the hallway, and since we had the routine done and all we really needed to do was work on the drill, we sat around and did nothing for 3 hours. Then, when the storm ended and we went the the field we get the first song and drill done. i think we got the second one done too. Then after dinner the whole band was out there and we ran through the first song marching and playing and mr. Perkins (band directer) at the end was like "I nevre thought I would say this....but...guard you wree awesome" and the whole band was like "ooooooooo" and we were "yea!! woot!!!" so that just made the rest of the week better for us.
Potatos became my best friend at camp. And now i dont even want to look at fries, or cheese, for a very long time. ok so for lunch monday i had cheese fries, dinner, nachos and cheese, breakfast tuesday, cheesy hashbrowns, lunch, cheese fries, dinner fries, wensday, pancakes (f you could even call those things pnacakes) lunch fries, dinner, cheese fries, thurday breakfast pancakes, lunch pasta, dinner fries, friday breakfat i skipped and had a snack in my room, lunch fries, dinner pizza, saturday breakfast pancakes. so yea, i never want fries, cheese, or pancakes again.
I have blisters all over my feet, the rain storm thursday (with no thunder or lightning!! woot!!) was amazing, i think im losing my voice, im tired, and i dont think i will be able to sleep in for the rest of this year. i woke up at 830 thinking i was late for breakfast and therefore gonna be late for practice.my lip is sunburnt, and i have a cankersore.my arms ache and i have brusies all over my knee from hitting myself with a flag. i hate high stepping. and the stupid drumline almost ruined our flags. i hate durk. arianna and alyssa are awesome freshies.
