Ah now time for a REAL update.
So Saturday was the Astronomy field trip. It was a bit of a bust really.
So my ride picks me up at 4ish pm. And we get her friend and head up. It's more or less uneventfull but it does seem a bit cloudy. We ran into some people who were near out of gas and they didn't want to drive any further because they thought that because it was so cloudy and sprinkly that the thing might be cancelled, fools. Sherie (?) gave them her number so that they could call in a bit to find this out. Well they never called and I don't know if they ever actually made it.
So the Lab started at 7pm and we got there about 6:30ish, we had time to pitch our tent and everything. So it was really cloudy at 7 and so made it rather pointless to use the telescopes so we got to do paper work...oh the funness. Then it started raining so we just turned it what we had... it was a group effort...but one person did most of the work...or should I say writtng as most of the answers came from a book that was in short supply and the lab aid was just reading from it. And this one guy got all pissy because he felt it was crap that we had to do paper work, well we ended up leaving like 5 min later so it was REALLY dumb of him to leave and miss out on the easy points. So we left to return to our campsite to eat and hope that the AM session would be clear. HA!
So as for cooking supplies all I had was a pot and chopsticks (ok so chopsticks aren't REALLY cooking supplies but they work if you want to stir something.) Luckly the people I rode up with had a little portable stove but THEY forgot a pot, and I happly lent them mine. So I made ramen it the rain. It was shrimp ramen...but really more like shrimp chicken past ramen as thats what they made and they had used the pot before me. See I needed the pot to eat out of as i had forgotten dishes. They also let me use a cup and have some of their Hot Coco...which is only right since they used my pot to make it.
So there were like 2 bonfires which were loud beer filled events. As we were starting to make the hot coco one of the guys came over to invite us over, and we thanked him kindly for the invite and when back to watching for the H2O to start boiling. Then knowing we had to get up at 3AM we decided to sleep (twas about 9:30), you know while there was room it was a bit squished in the tent, it being a 2 person and there being 3 of us, it was a tad uncomfertable at times. I mean you're trying not to move alot because you don't want to bump people.
And all the time it was raining, and raining, and for a change of pace it rained some more.
And it was hard to sleep because of the idiots at the bonfire.
Then at 10ish i went to go to the bathroom...it was a bit of a walk because the ones right by us were closed for winter. And I got a bit turned around walking back... it was raining and my redified flashligh didn't give off enough light. So I decided to screw it and just take of the pit of plastic that was making it red. I must really be blind becasue Our tent was in the lot over from the bonfire. :hits head:
So finally 3 comes around and it's still raining HARD. So we got 16 points just for getting up and dragging ourselves over there. Then Sherie (?) decided to convince her friend (who was driving) that we go home, so we did... and so did most everybody.
And I got home about 5:30ish.
And I found that my parents are absolute idiots. Even though it is clearly written on the calender that is ON THE FRIGE they forgot that I had the astronomy trip. They thought I was at Evans party. So this is how it when. I roll out of bed at about 1pm.
mom: What time did you get home?
me: 6ish or 5ish.
mom: what were you doing?
me: Astronomy field trip?
mom: oh thats right, i thought you were at your friends party.
~dad comes in~
dad: so where were you last night?
God parents!
So the last episode of Wolf's Rain made me cry as did the one before it....just so sad.
And despite my pretty much hating everything pumkin I got the Pumkin Spiced Latte... it was good.
I couldn't really taste the pumkin either. Then I had a sample of the Pumkin spiced Frappachino and that was pretty good too.
