He came in as elegant as always, a small smile gracing his lips. "I'm thrilled to see you awake and happy..." I nodded. "I'm glad you're here...everything has been so confusing..." "I suppose it has...Do you understand ny of it?" I frowned. "To an extend... this stuff is a bit complex..." He nodded. "It is...here...I'll show you..." He put his hand to my forehead, a trick that would show me everything: how all of this had happened because he brought me here, Xemnara's jealousy in loving him, his brother's ignorance...I understood it all, and he showed me one more thing. That his love for me was great, huge, he loved me more than anything else. I looked at him and immediately knew he had not meant to show me that last part...he had just been thinking about it. For the first, and probably te last time I saw a hint of red in his cheeks. "Can I take this opportunity to ask you something??" I nodded shyly. The moment I saw him get down on one knee I knew all of the confusion was over. I would become his wife, the goddess of the underworld, of death and also, in my own way, of life. I would be his.
