So, Dani and I went to the lake after her fiasco of a party turned out for the worst. I can't speak for her, but I know it could have gone so much better. :/ After I comforted her, I took her out for a day of R&R - Just what the doctor ordered. Rest and relaxation at the lake side, with plenty of good looking guys to oogle. whee It was a gorgeous day out, and not a care in the world. I'm glad I could help her, when only a select few offer to help a friend back on their feet after they've fallen. I guess a real friend is someone you can count on, not only during the joyful parts of your life, but also to share the hard ones. A good friend should enrich your life, not take away from it. And I hope that's what I do for my friends. I aspire to be the friend I'd want to have myself, because you only have one life to live, and it's not very long at all. I want it to be memorable, and happy. Even for my enemies, and those that have hurt me in the past, I hope they have a long and happy life. I wish them no ill will, because I know, in the end, karma will have the last say.

It just makes me feel happy that I could make someone else feel happy, and forget their problems, even if it was for a little while. Laughter has healing properties; it's a natural pain-killer, because it releases endorphines into your system. (Random FYI, but yes. True!) This is a long journal entry... Pretty long-winded, but I think I made my point. Problems come and go, and none of us can survive this world alone. We are meant to live in communities; human beings are social creatures. So make some friends, and live long, healthy lives while you can. Today, spend at least one day, just being happy, and doing something you love. Being happy is nothing to have regrets about.
