yeah...i know....it's now too much later...but i got a great idea! yay me!
Naruto, who had seen Itachi carrying Sakura away, emedieatly ran to the edge of town. The gates were closed but he could see everyone from the tops of it. If anyone were to come towards them, he would see and be able ti catch them instantly. His plan would've worked...besides the fact there were two people he had to watch at the same time. Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame. He remembered those dark eyes when he first encountered Itachi...at the hotel while him and Jiraiya were of looking for Tsunade-sama. It seemed like forever.
When he saw a glimpes of Itachi he jumped down to the front of the gate armed with a kunai. Deep inside, he knew he probably couldn't win...but that was very deep down...too deep to notice...for now he was only filled with rage. How dare they...kidnapping Sakura-chan like that...it was obvious they intended to use her for a lure to get him...yet...Naruto was never strong in the figuring-out-what-people-wanted category.
"ALRIGHT!" Naruto called out, "Let Sakura go and fight me!!" (yes...we all know he is an idiot....but he's Naruto! nuf said!)
Itachi stopped and stared at the loud shinobi, it was impossible to see, but Itachi's face bore a small smirk.
"I see," he said, "Alright."
Naruto gawked at him. "WHA--!?" he never finished. Unaware that someone was behind him, Naruto was knocked out by a punch to the head. (yes...it was Kisame) He crashed to the ground in front of the Uchiha.
"Well done, Kisame," Itachi commented, "Leader will be very pleased that we finally were able to capture the Kyuubi."
"Yeah, but don't forget that Hyuuga girl...she managed to get away." Kisame pointed out, "she definatly will not keep this secret."
Itachi turned for a minute, "Yes...we should hurry" He dropped Sakura on the ground. She shifted a bit but stayed uncounsious. Itachi then lifted Naruto up and took off. Kisame not too far behind.
Little did they know, someone else had been watching...with dark green eyes he watched as the two dissappeared into the forested area. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared in flury of sand...to a destination unknown to anyone but himself and the people who resided there...the location of the Akatsuki. As he appeared in front of a large structure, someone called out, "HEY YOU, WHAT ARE YOU DO--" they stopped as they saw the eyes of Sabaku no Gaara.
"Where is Naruto." three simple word were all it took to begin the battle between Gaara and Deidara for a second time.
