Kind of an old story, but yeah. I felt like putting it in here.
"Dang it," I mumbled as my short-heeled boots sort of clanked on the concreet sidewalk nere the brick walls of buildings. "I knew I should have brought a jacket with me." Everyone thought the cold of winter would be gone by now but it still came back to haunt some of us here. The moon shown down on me and the screech of a stray cat was heard from an alleyway. Her home was a city or town away. She was never good at which was which but that didnt bother her. "Hmm, wonder what...," she looked at her left wrist to find only skin and no watch. "No! 'Well, time to go," she thought and went back the other way till she got to the spot she had originally stood then walked on; her boots annoying her from all the noise they made.
Before she had time to round the next corner something that seemed to glow and catch the eye could be seen from the other side of the street. She liked glowing things. Was attracked to them. 'Come here shiny shiny shiny,' she thought and slowly approached it. Unknown to her someone was holding the little shiny object and waiting for her to come closer....
