• I was taking my morning stroll about 30 minutes before the sun rose while it was nice and cool. As I was walking down the dirt road I heard some rustling in the bushes. I looked over and saw a dark figure so I sped up my pace. It started to follow me and was getting closer. I still could not see it but it. It was about twenty yards behind me so I reached for my dagger but it was too late. I was on the ground unconscious. I woke up in a small puddle of blood. I felt this sharp pain in my neck as I reached for it. Two deep holes in my neck were dripping blood slowly. I now knew what had happened.
    I got attacked by a vampire. Now I know what happens for real after an attack.
    The four stages of vampirism. I know this because I have been doing a lot of research on them. The first you go to sleep you will wake up in the first stage. No one will notice you are a vampire and sun light does not affect you yet.
    The second stage: when you fall asleep again after twenty four hours have past. You will start to look older and your eyes will change shape a little and you will take a little bit of damage to your skin from the sun so stay in the shade.
    Stage three: the sun will start to burn the flesh off your skin. You will start to look like a vampire and people will fear you.
    Stage four: now you have become a full fleged vampire. The sun will disintegrate you. Although there is two ways to stop the affects. The first is you can never go to sleep. The second and most used is you have to feed on sleeping victims, this will not kill them or harm them but, the affects on you will pull you back into the first stage of vampirism.
    I’ve decided I do not want to live like this forever so I am setting out to find a cure no matter what it takes.

























    Chapter 1

    I rushed to my cottage to clean myself up. The vampire bites are healing. I now know am in the first stage of vampirism. Now I can not have one last rest. I need to stay awake as long as I can. This is bad very bad.
    I rushed over to the library and scanned the shelves. I spotted a book through the corner of my eye. I hurried to it. ‘Vampires’ it read.
    I opened it up and saw a picture of a statue of one of the gods. I took the book out of the shelf and rushed to the librarian and bought the book.
    I raced to my cottage and packed some leather protection just in case of emergency and grabbed my steel long sword. ‘
    I headed out to the stable and bought a brand new horse. I rid off to an old military base to set up camp but I ran into some bandits. I noticed them soon so I stopped and quietly ran around their view and silently came up behind him and sliced his head off. His buddy ran quickly towards me. He was in full armor so I knew it was going to be a challenge but strangely it was not. In a flash I was behind him with my blade thrust through his body. It was as if it was an instinct.
    I hid the bodies because I didn’t want any animals to get to them so I could sleep and feed tomorrow. I woke up and the bodies were gone. All the while I could feel my flesh burning away. I ducked under my tent and held it out there till night fall. I snuck around and found my horse and I did something really did not want to do. I bent over and drunk his blood. The delightful taste of it was irresistible. I wanted more. I sapped myself across the face to snap myself out of it. I could feel the affects from stage two fade away.
    I woke my horse up and rid out to the statue of nocturna the mighty god.























    Chapter Two Nocturna’s Quest

    I was riding on my horse when I spotted a weird little thing moving, dead in front of me. I hopped off my horse my and went to investigate. I got about five yards to it, and bam, out of no where, the thing shoots a lightning bolt and strikes me smack dab in the head. I grab my blade out and slashed at a few times but it had no effect whatsoever.
    I looked at it and saw another one of those lightning bolts, but this time it missed me and hit my blade. Strangely it just reflected off my blade and hit a rock about fifteen yards away. I had an idea.
    I waited for the right moment as he shot a bolt I used my sword to redirect its path, it flew back strait in his direction. The bolt hit it. Instantaneously it disintegrated. After it disintegrated this glowing dust fell down I went over and picked some up. I decided to take some of the dust because you never know what it could be used for.
    I whistled for my horse but it did not come. I whistled again but nothing. I went to see what had happened. Then to the side, I saw my horse. We stared into each others eyes for a few moments. All I saw was a red void staring at me. It lifted its lips up, and I could see the fangs it had grown. I tried to get closer; I could see all its muscles tightening. It was too late; I fell forward in amazement, and fell over. The horse charge at me with blinding speed, I hopped to my feet, and realized what had to be done. I closed my eyes shut, and stood my ground and waited for it to be over. As my hand tightened up, I flew backward and lose hold of my blade; the vampire horse looked at me with a face of relief, as if he wanted this. He curse has been lifted at the cost of his life.
    As I walked away from the corpse, I understood how bad this curse really is. As a small tear dropped from my eye, I thought about what I had done.
    As the sun started to fall, I felt my power growing. I felt this strong pain in my back; I fell to the ground in pain, and screamed to the heavens’. Two giant wings sprouted out of my back, the pain suddenly stopped. I stood up and jumped up into the sky as if it was and instinct. My wing’s flapped and I rose into the sky, feeling the cool air flowing against my face, while I soared into the night.
    In exhaustion, I lowered my wings to glide to the ground. I heard these faint voices in the distance; I flew up to catch the view of a people, by a large object. A strange feeling pulled me toward the it. As I landed next to the object, I asked “who are you people”.
    One woman said, “we are the worshipers of the mighty god, Nocturna”. I reached for my book and opened it, and then said “I was wondering what Nocturna has to do with Vampires?”
    She said, “ given offering of ‘sands of time’ , it will give you the knowledge that you seek”. I reached for my bag, and asked “is this it?”. She nodded her head in approval.
    I walked toward the statue, and presented it to him. The sand flew from my hands, and into the statue’s mouth. I was a little shook up, but I kept my cool. I said, “ I have come to you to find a cure from my eternal curse of being a vampire”.
    It said “I can cure you, but you have to do something for me first”.
    I said, “I will do anything, just show me the way to being human again”.
    “ You must go to Ruby Cave, and kill the monstrosities that I have created, there are five powerful vampires that you must kill. Bring me back a piece of their clothing to show you have done the job”, Nocturna said.
    I said “ok, I will do as you requested”
    She gave me the coordinates, and I jetted into the dark sky in search of Ruby Cave.
    I made my way to the cave. There was a giant wooden door. I tried to get in but it would not budge. I backed up and kicked it in. I was amazed; the door must have been at least 150 pounds. When the door hit the ground I heard a scream. I rushed over and found out I had just killed one of them. I bent over and tore off a piece of its clothing.
    One of the others heard and rushed over. I hid in the corner, and waited. She passed by, and I flew at her. My blade almost two her head but it was deflected. Luckily I saw this coming so I went for an uppercut and nailed her. It was strong enough her neck, she died, so I continued on. Suddenly I was surrounded by all three of them. I look around and saw them waiting to take me down. One attacked me, but I anticipated it and my blade took him in half. As he fell, I grabbed his axe and threw it at one of the others, piercing his heart. At the same time, I flew at the other and pinned him to the ground. I whispered
    “Goodbye”, and he was gone.
    I took a piece of each of their clothing and flew back to Nocturna. As I soared through the darkness, I started to think. I like this power that has befallen me, I was having trouble trying to get to back to Nocturna, because I started to like what I have become. I finally reached her and presented her the pieces she required. She said, “now I grant you the potion that will give you two uses of this potion in the case of another attack”. A small bottle with bat like wings, flew down into my hands. I look at it for a few moments, and threw it to the ground. The worshiper’s gasp in awe. I looked over and said, “I want to keep this power”, and I took flight and reached for the higher power that awaits me.
