It was my friend Rebecca's 16th birthday. To celebrate, she and her parents went to The Melting Pot, in Sacramento. I was drug along. Yay! It's an all fondue restaurant. Fun stuff.
=D
The whole thing was quite an adventure. Even the drive there. Sheltered as I am, I've never been to Sacramento. Except for the one time I went to the airport.
I've also never eaten fondue until last evening. Another adventure. You'd be surprised at the kind of things that taste good when dipped in melted cheddar.
Then there was the numerous jokes about the sea monkeys that she got as a birthday present. and the kamikaze balloon. And Rebecca constantly pointing out cute waiters.
Not to mention the constant "your pants are ablaze" crack that one of the waiters started, that lasted through most of the night.
It was a very fun night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Until I got home anyway. My parents, I guess, decided to take my absense as a chance to get totally drunk. Go figure. Lucky my friend's parents didn't notice. What a great first impression they'd leave. Rebecca noticed though. In fact she commented on it today. Just randomly... "your mom was so drunk last night...". Yeeeaaaah.
My mom asked me about the restaurant, and then proceeded to ignore me when I told her. So I decided to just go to bed. And I did.
I get up there, they start fighting about stupid crap. And as I'm almost asleep, my mom screams at me to come downstairs, and starts asking me all these questions, just so she can prove a point to my dad.
Apparently my dad accused my mom of liking another guy... or something. All because she mentioned my friend Dani. Dani, which is short for Danielle. Girl's name, dammit! But my dad was just as drunk as she was, and thought she was talking about some guy... person.
But... yeah. She questioned me all over, and I ignored it and went back to bed. I heard a bunch of loud crashing that sounded to me like my mom angrily putting dishes in the sink.
I wake up today and go downstairs... every thing from both of their computer desks, except for the computers, is thrown all over the floor!
Ugh....
I started to clean it up for whatever reason, but then I just said screw it. They want to throw crap around, they can pick it back up.
And my mom's pretty much ignoring me now. Probably mad because I didn't take her side in last night's arguement.
>_<
I want to kick them through a wall... only I can't.
