Chapter One: The Meeting
"I can’t believe I’m lost. I can usually find my way anywhere." As Raine looked around the city she saw people walking and talking. She decided to ask someone where the ninja school was. She walked over to the nearest person who turned out to be Neji Hyuga. She tapped him on the shoulder and saw the headband. "Um can you tell me where the ninja school is?" "Um…sure." Neji said "I have to go back anyway." "Thank you a lot" "No problem." He walked away leaving her standing there. "Are you coming?" "Huh…yeah." She bent down and grabbed her back then ran after him.
"So where did you come from," Neji asked her. "From far away." "Oh," Neji said as he turned the corner. She followed close behind him. "We’re almost there." "Okay, you may also have to show me where the Hokage is, please." "Sure thing." They walked a little bit longer. Then they finally reached the school.
"Here we are." "Wow it’s so much bigger then I expected." "Yeah we get that a lot." "Sorry," Raine said as she followed Neji to the Hokage’s house. "Here you go. If you need anything else just ask," He looked out and saw Ying, his cousin, go flying across the ground. Then Loz Highwind and Kadja Lee fighting. Also Rock Lee and TenTen trying to break them apart. "Sorry I have to go help." "I understand. Thank you again" "Your welcome." With that he left. Raine turned around and knocked on the doors to the Hokage’s house, and they opened. So she walked in.
"Hello is anyone here," Raine asked into the darkness. The lights turned on and there in the middle of this large room was a tiny table, and a little old man sitting there drinking tea. "Yes my dear come in," The little man said as he stood up. That was when she realized that the little old man was the Hokage. "Um…I’m here to give you something and ask for an escort back to the Land of Lightning," Raine said as she stepped forward. "Well that’s fine by me." The old man stood up and walked over to her. "Here you go sir," Raine said as she handed him the scroll she was carrying. "That thing has been nothing but bad luck for me. It got my escorts killed and almost killed me too." "Well It will be okay now. I will let you have the escorts so that you can get home safely." "Oh thank you so much," Raine said. "First before you go, you must eat something." "Okay, thank you again." "Just go find Kakashi and give him this." "Yes sir." with that she left out the door.
"Um… I have another question," Raine said as she tapped on Neji’s shoulder. "Ok, but you can call me Neji." "Ok, can you help me find Kakashi?" "Sure." He let go of Loz’s shirt after he finished yelling at him and the other two. "o…k," Raine said quietly to her self. "Lets go." "Okay." Neji shot Ying an angry look, and with that they left.
They walked around the campus looking high and low for Kakashi. There was no sign of him. "Maybe he went to town?" "I don’t think so. There’s his team over there." "Oh." They walked over to where Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were sitting. "Hey Sakura have you seen Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura looked up "No. Last time we saw him he was in the building with Gai-sensei." "Ok thanks." "No problem." "Hey Naruto I wouldn’t do that if I were you. It’s going to hit you not him." "Shut up Neji. What do you know." Naruto pushed the bucket up and went and sat next to Sasuke. Neji looked at Raine. Naruto Grabbed the rope and pulled. Neji pushed Raine back so she wouldn’t get anything on her. Down the bucket came right on top of Naruto’s head. "I told you so." "Shut up Neji." "Come on." He grabbed Raine’s hand and pulled her away from them. "Lets go find Gai-sensei." "Okay."
They came across the building Sakura was talking about. Neji grabbed the door handle and opened it a little ways. He looked back at Raine then grabbed her hand again and pulled her in. "Now we need to find Gai, and Kakashi." "What do they look like?" "Well Kakashi has white hair that sticks up and his face is covered up, and Gai has the ugliest haircut ever with these funky looking green type clothes." "You mean Like the two standing in front of you?" Neji turned and looked. "Yeah kinda like that only Gai-sensei is a lot uglier." "Oh so now I’m ugly to you," The people in front of them started talking. "No." "That is it. 5 laps for all three of ya’ll." "Oops." Raine pushed Neji behind her. "Are you Kakashi?" "Why yes I am," the other person said. "Okay. I was supposed to give you this. It’s from the Hokage." "Ok." She handed it to him. "Ok I see." she smiled at him. "Your welcome." "Thank you. Are you hungry or something?" "Only a little hungry, and very tired." "Okay." He walked past them and gave a little motion for her to follow him. She watched him walk out. Then she said thank you to Neji, and followed Kakashi.
Raine had just got done eating. "That was very good." She was sitting in the kitchen on one of the counters, talking to the Cook. "Why thank you." "Your welcome." "Your are the first one to ever complement my cooking." "Really." "Yes. Everyone else says it sucks." "I can’t imagine why." She smiled then walked out of the room. She looked around for the nearest trash can, and found it. She throw up in it. "That cook sucks. I never want to eat that again." She walked up the stairs and out of the cafeteria. "Oh hi Kakashi." She ran right into him. "Hey I was just coming to see how you were." "Really?" "Yes. I was coming to ask you if you were tired." "Oh yes very. Traveling for two days nonstop really wears you out." "Okay. Well come on and I’ll take you to a room where you can sleep." "That will be wonderful." He grabbed her hand and left out the door.
Chapter Two: A sleepless Night
It was late, and she knew she should be in bed. It was just Raine couldn’t sleep. She felt like something bad was going to happen, or was happening right now. She had to get home. "I can’t stay here. I have to go home now. My village is in trouble. I can feel it." She sat up and climbed out of bed. "What do you think Fred? Should I leave now or wait till tomorrow?" "Meow," Fred said Sleepily. "Only you would think that." "Flame, George what do ya’ll think?" They just looked at her quietly. "Do you guys really think that?" again not a sound. "I don’t care what ya’ll think. I have to get home." She stood up and walked over to her Bag. She looked over at the cat. "Hey Fred look what I found." She held up a little cat outfit. Fred looked over at it and hissed. "I know how much you love it." Raine walked over to Fred and tried to put it on him, but he scratched her on the cheek. "Stupid cat." She walked over to him again and got the dress on him. "I think you look beautiful." She smiled at him, and he glared at her. She walked back over to the bag and got her clothes.
"So how are we going to get out?" She took off the pajama pants and put on her pants. Then she took off the pajama shirt and put on her shirts. Then she fixed her hair to where it was braided and her bangs were covering her forehead. "So how do I look?" She looked over at Fred. He hissed. So she looked back at the mirror. "Well I don’t see what’s wrong with it. I think I look…"
She saw the door and who was standing in the door frame through the mirror. She turned around and saw the eyes. "Nice," the person in the door way said. "Those eyes. I’ve seen the before." In an flash the person was behind her. He put his arm around her throat. "I could kill you right here. It would be the end of my worries," The person said as he pulled a knife out and put it in the hand around her throat. "No," Raine said as she tried to struggle free. "I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You might hurt your self." He moved the knife closer to her throat. As he did he cut her on the shoulder. "Ow," Raine said as she felt the knife go in. "I could just take my little knife right now and slit your throat." "Please. What do you want with me?" "I want you to…" Right at that moment Kakashi burst in and the guy let go of Raine. Kakashi caught her as she fell. As he was holding her he saw the cut. "Are you alright?" "Ow." "It’ll be okay." He picked her up in both his arms, and walked out of the room.
