Since ancient times beings have been called upon to keep the gates of heaven and hell closed to prevent a war between the two races, demons and angels, devils and celestians.
Keepers are specific to seven different families, the element special to each family. Each family produces a keeper every other generation from grandparents to grandchild. When the next generation is born the previous keeper dies giving their ability and duty to the infant.
Keepers are not all humans. Some of the keepers come from Angel origin or demonic origin a family or two even vampire.
The parents of the new keeper are required to choose a protector by the time the keepers power awaken at the age of seventeen. Whether it be a older or younger sibling, a family member or even a friend. As long as they are trusted and strong enough to protect the keepers.
The keepers and their protectors live in a large home near the beach in Okinawa Japan. This is for their protection. Safety in numbers.
Keepers are between the ages of 17 and 26
Protectors are between the ages of 15 and 40 or so
Those who attack the keepers and their protectors can be from 15 and anything upwards.
