(( first, the girl finally finished that picture I asked her for looook I want to hug her, but I can't cause it would probably be creepy xD ))
I don't know why we were here. It was late and the night was cold and dark. My muscles ached from crouching for so long, and my head hurt from keep up the blocks that made sure the people we were spying on couldn't 'see' us. It's hard to spy on Galexy, but I'd developed shields she couldn't read. Still the effort it took to stretch that shield not only across my mind but also over the bridge that connected me to the minds of the other elements took a lot of effort.
Not ten feet from where we crouched behind some bushes stood my guardian. Galexy looked unusually regal in the moonlight. Her silver hair glowed and she'd worn a loose white shirt that billowed around her waist, over a pair of black jeans. It was a leap from her usual outfits of clinging black leather and tight corsets. As we watch she turned to look as someone else materialized from the darkness next to her.
Nightmare was as always, gorgeous. Beside me Sora actually sighed as the shadows finished forming his dark clad form.
"Can you hear what they're saying." Sora muttered, leaning close to my ear. On my other side Mimi's eyes flicked nervously from us back to Nightmare and Galexy.
"Sora. I can either make it so she can't read our mind, or I can listen. I can't do both." I hissed, sliding forward a little and closing my eyes. "now shhh, and pay attention."
Sore huffed, but grew silent. There was a slight breeze, triggered no doubt by her switching hearts to something with better hearing.
-----
Galexy turned and her eyes narrowed as her twin took shape. The time when they might have looked the least bit similar was long gone. Only their eyes were the same.
"Why did you call me?" He growled, taking a long step toward her, coming almost close enough to touch her if he wanted. Her eyes narrowed as she lifted her gaze to glare up at him.
"I want you to let Dream go."
"No."
"Why not?!"
"Because, I don't want to deal with her. She's obsessive.."
"She's in love with you!"
"And I'm not in love with her. It's better she stays where she is."
"You don't love your wife so your solution is to lock her away? What type of sense is that?"
"As least I didn't turn her to stone"
"Leave Time out of this..."
"Lex, you're the one that brought it up. If you don't want to make this an even fight, then you shouldn't have called me here."
Galexy turned, putting her back to him. I knew my guardian enough to recognize when she was pissed. Her shoulders were shaking and her arms had curled around herself, nails digging into the skin of her arms. The sweet-sour smell of her blood sprinkling the air. "******** you Nightmare" she growled, "She's our sister, she doesn't deserve being locked up like that."
Nightmare moved forward and his arms wrapped around her waist pulling her roughly into his arms. "I told her this would have happened. You told her. " He growled into her ear. Lifting a hand, he curled it around her neck. The crystal on her throat flared at the proximity, an angry white light that I left a burnt skin smell in the air. "I don't love her, and as long as she's willing to throw herself at my feet, forgetting her job and her purpose. Well, this is better." He pulled his hand away and took a step back. His palm was burnt, and a blood stain had appeared across Galexy's shirt from where the blood from his list had seeped through the bandaging.
"Good bye Galexy, when you think of a request that isn't utter s**t. Give me a call, alright." His body began to dissolve back into that inky blackness, moving around he pressed a kiss to her cheek, then vanished completely leaving her standing alone in the dark.
-------
Back in Mimi's house, we sat around the fire, our eyes focused on the floor. I had my head on Mimi's lap and she was massaging my scalp, using some of her healing ability to easy my headache.
"Well that wasn't really any help." Sore huffed, picking at the seams of a pillow.
"We could have gotten our asses handed to us, if Galexy found us out.." I muttered, eyes closed.
"But she didn't-"
"And it was a total waste of time."
"Whatever, we learned Dream was still alive, that's something."
"Yeah, but what exactly do we even do with that information." Mimi said, looking from one of us to the other. "I mean it's not like we're going to break her out....right?"
I didn't like the sound of silence coming from Sora.
