Brian, you've inspired me ever since, and I've always been a fan ever since the beginning. Not only do you bring imagination and creativity, you bring life into your books, and make it as if the readers or audience feel like they are inside the story too. With the joyful humor, the mouth-watering food you describe, and the action packed details of epic battles. With the sobbing deaths of loved ones, you make me even shed a tear. I feel as if I'm connected to the book, whenever I read another of your legacy books. Whenever I am finished with one of your books too, I am left with a feeling of satisfaction and happiness (Sometimes I even imagine in my head a little bit of scenes that would happen in the later seasons for the characters after the story ended, hehe).
I know I may be hesitant sometimes, and tend to stray away and forget to read. However, it's just a break for me, I usually need breaks. Once I get back into the story, I won't be taken out. I will continue reading your books, and read every last bit of them. Your latest one, made last year, The Rogue Crew, I don't believe that's in our library yet, but still, I will, and I shall, get my hands and read ALL your books. After I'm done with your Redwall series, I will read your other books! Even if they might not seem as much exciting to my as talking animals who fight for freedom and justice, but I know the other books will be good too!
Your Redwall saga has many puzzles and riddles, and although the main characters are trying to figure it out, I too, as if I'm standing alongside with them, try to figure out your infamous and endearing tricky puzzles. How clever you are, and to even think of that is brilliant. Your first book, Redwall (1986), was the mother bearing the children of all the other books. Even when I am older, I will go out my way and buy these books. You're the only author that will always keep me interested with such brilliant stories.
Brian Jacques, when the time I heard of your death (February 5, 2011), it pained me, of course. But, I knew that you left happily, and left a legacy for many generations to come and read. Oddly enough, it is February 1, 2012. In four days, I will bid you happiness and peace in my dreams and prayers (Haha, just like how Martin comes into many 'chosen one's' dreams, eh?). I will pray that you are happy up where the stars are out, just like you said in High Rhulain. Only the great, brave, and true warriors rest peacefully up in the night sky; that is why there is so many stars. Yes, the logic may be untrue, but in the Redwall fantasy world, it will always be true to me.
You will be in my heart forever, even when I grow old. Brian Jacques, I'll never forget the day I found your creation on a wooden shelf. Thank you, for welcoming me into this vast world I've come to love.
"Reeedwaaaaaallll!" -- the warcry for Redwall Abbey
"Eeee aye eeeeeeeeeeeh!" -- the warcry for the otterclans in Green Isle; High Rhulain
"Blood'n'vinegar!" -- from the hares or squirrels
"Eulaliaaaaaa!" -- the warcry of hares and badgers
"Logalogaloga!" -- the warcry of the Guosim shrews
"Galedeeeeep!" -- warcry of Finnbarr Galedeep; The Bell Maker
"Regubaaaa!" -- battlecry of Dannflower Reguba; Marlfox
"Mossflowerrrrr!" -- warcry of woodlanders
There are many more war cries I know and have read, but, it'd just be too long~
Brian Jacques, I'll always be a fan, follower, and inhabitant of the warm Redwall Abbey.
Hope to see you in the dinner's feast in many years to come!
