His sword was being pushed back by the energy of the spell, and he had the nagging feeling in the back of his head that this wasnt the first time he'd been in this situation. The mad cackling of his opponent was irritating him, and he'd've just as soon left without disturbing anyone. "Puny human, bow before my might and I may yet spare your miserable hide!" the male thing said. It looked mostly human, but with scales for skin around the eyes, and what appeared to be claws for fingernails. "Your mother was a dung beetle." he said from between clenched teeth. He forced the remainder of the spell to the side and tried to catch his breath. "And your grandfather was a Tentacle monster." As if to prove the claim stated, serpents of stone grew from the floor and he narrowly missed being bitten. However, the thing hadnt yet even paid any attention to his insults. As far as he could tell, it had gone into a monologue on how it exceeded him on a near godly scale. He patted one of the snakes on the head and picked up a rock- confusing the snakes severely and halting their attack. He then threw the rock as hard as he could and beaned the flamboyant being in the head. "Crap, might've thrown it too hard..." he muttered again to himself. Striding over to the now prone opposition, he knelt down and checked for a pulse. Satisfied that he'd only given a slight concussion at the most, he stood up and stretched his arms. He tossed the sword he'd used earlier to the side, where it shattered into countless pieces. He'd had it when he'd woken up, but it just hadn't sat right in his hands. He looked around to see the snakes looking at him. "Any of you fine fellows know what I should do now?" The snakes looked to each other somewhat confused. Usually Heroes or Adventurers would simply slay whatever stood in their way. And never asked monsters for anything other than a quick kill. So they shrugged at him. It was a new situation, and they new not how to proceed. At their shrug, he bit his lip- one because it was amazing to see a snake shrug, but mostly because he didnt know his own name, much less what to do next. "Uh... I guess we should continue through the door then?" he asked, hoping for a better reaction. The snakes looked to one another again, and began to nod at each other. This, in turn, led to them nodding at him. The snakes, now certain on the next phase, pushed the unconscious door guard into a corner of the room, and then followed him through the doorway. For some reason, nothing else bothered him and his posse of stone serpents as they traveled through. "Are we going somewhere?" He asked after an hour of traveling through castle-like corridors and dungeon-like tunnels. An affirmative nod from the snakes. "Are we close?" They looked at each other and nodded hesitantly. "Are we lost?" One snake nodded, and the rest shook their heads- upon being nudged, the one nod began shaking its head. "We're lost, aren't we?" Guilty nods. "Then I think we should take a break. It's a bit tiring to be lost, isnt it?" A shrug and a nod had the snakes curling up. He took a seat on the floor with a clank- noticing for the first time the armor he was clad in.
