Saturn and Uranus (new story idea) |

... That will also probably never come to fruition.
You know how some people start off being crazy cute as children... then they grow up, and you go "WTF happened?! D="
Then there's the reverse, where you see these beautiful adult people, and think they had to have been beautiful as children... then you see a baby picture, or a photo of them from their elementary school days, and you go "KILL IT WITH FIRE! D<"

I felt like drawing a certain hair style, and having been recently inspired by a friend's own work, made it so the dude was a blond. Like another of my characters, he's a tall, skinny blond, and probably also of scandinavian descent. I decided to pair him with a short, curvy girl with black hair in an asian hair style-the dango with the pig tails coming out. She's slightly hunched over, seemingly screaming into the sky, while his gaze looks down at her in a sly manner, as though he both pities her and cherishes her.
I had the thought that she bullied him when they were in elementary school because she was a year older and several inches taller. The height difference they had when they were little is reversed in their adulthood.
I drew them as children next to each other. Looks like my mind wanted him to be dressed in overly baggy clothes and her to be a tomboy forced to wear girly dresses, but getting her own by wearing sneakers. His blond hair is long for a child at that age, and he looks sad because he's standing next to his seemingly confident bully, her long, long black hair in pigtails ('American Usual" style).
They're probably seven and eight years old, and both teeny. She's just taller. XD He comes up to, like, her shoulder? XD)
I imagine that, despite the fact that she terrified him, he had a crush on her because she was such a cute child.
He was adorable, if a little odd looking. It was definitely the kind of thing he would grow into, because he's a good-looking adult, while she looks a bit average or awkward... especially by comparison.
I have this idea that he's in a rock band and, having recently realized who he is but wanting to put it past her, she asks to join perhaps as a singer. He tells her that she needs to audition, and that for the audition she must also dress up... like a girl.
She arrives in a corset and skinny jeans. She's a curvy girl-not fat, but the shape doesn't suit the bottoms... and the corset is just awkward on her.
The other band members start cracking up when the guy (Saturn) snorts helplessly.
She turns and stalks off, her head facing the sky, her eyes glaring and her mouth in just as angry a set, shouting, "Oh for ******** SAKE! I haven't dressed like a girl in, what, fifteen years, and you choose NOW to make fun of me for forgetting what it's supposed to look like? I never really knew in the first place!"
She turns back around and stalks toward the man she teased relentlessly as a boy and approaches him with all the anger and the confidence he remembered her having when they were children, but that he hadn't seen since encountering her again.
"And what's the point of dressing up like this anyway?! If all I'm doing is singing, wouldn't it be more prudent that I be a good singer in the first place! What's it help you to have a pretty girl front woman who can't sing for s**t!? D<"
She's standing in front of him, still slightly hunched over, but her finger is wagging and poking her old acquaintance in the chest... since that's about as high as she currently reaches. XD
"If you wanted a pretty girl in the band, they should have just dressed you up in the first place since you're prettier than me!" she shouts in anger.
This stops all of them laughing-the other members because they decided to take her words into consideration and were now carefully looking at Saturn; Saturn because he was now looking into a very angry Uranus' face with an expression of surprise and honest shock.
"You think I'm pretty?"
"Hey, she's right? He kinda DOES look like a girl!"
Ah, I love excuses to cross dress a drawing. ^_^
I wonder if I'll ever have a chance to put Uranus and Saturn online. =D They're fun doodles. XD
I can't believe I thought this deeply into it..> XD
