"SAKUYA!" the distressed maiden screamed to her servant. Sakuya, all the way on the complete opposite side of the Scarlet Mansion, heard her mistress Remilia's screams. Sakuya hastily ran over to her mistress to see what was wrong. Remilia explained to Sakuya that she wasn't doing her work fast enough in such a manner that Sakuya couldn't take anymore. Sakuya stormed out of the Scarlet Mansion to get away from Remilia's constant bickering.
As Sakuya was leaving, she found a stray black cat and named it Chen. She continued, taking the cat with her, and becoming quite attatched to the cat. The bond they were creating was like they would never abandon each other ever. It did seem as though the cat brought some bad luck with her too... As they continued, Sakuya got a sudden thirst for tea, so they stopped at a nice looking place for tea. When they went in, Sakuya almost immediately noticed one of her familiars, Hong Meiling. Meiling noticed Sakuya, but she felt no need to ask why she was there. Sakuya bought her tea and tehn continued on her merry way.
Progressing forwardthey met a short girl with white and a tint of blue in her hair, dressed in mainly blue with occaisionalpieces of white in the dress, and also she was wearing a big blue bow in the back of her hair. This girl introduced herself to Sakuya as Cirno. She was similar to another mythical creature Sakuya couldn't think about at the time. Anyway Sakuya was led to a mysterious place in the mountains where demons supposedly skulked around. Cirno told Sakuya she knew this area well and that she'd be safe here.
Cirno left and Sakuya gently fell asleep with Chen at her side and some knives brought for protection. As she was in a subtle sleep, all of a sudden a loud "CRASH!" woke her up. A tree she was sleeping near had fallen. She noticed that the area around her had become overgrown and unruly. Her knives had also become oxidized and immoderately blunt. She thought someone may have sabotaged her and switched the knives.
Sakuya, on her way back to the Scarlet Mansion, thought she saw Cirno. She went over to her to thank her for her help, but that was not Cirno, the girl said her name was Letty. Anyway, Sakuya passed the tea shop she had tea at... The place was abandoned and she noticed that Chen was not with her. After she noticed that, a black cat came out of the tea shop. Sakuya called Chen's name, but this cat hissed and ran away.
She finally returned to her home, the Scarlet Mansion. The place looked horrible, the bulwarks were decrepit and deteriorating, and the mansion looked just as dilapidated. She entered, only to see the successor of Remilia, Flandre. Flandre was the little sister of Remilia that Sakuya had looked after when Flandre was still young. She now knew that she had fell asleep for more than she thought. Sakuya then ran back to her work station to try to reverse time, but there was no way.....
