"How does one kill the unkillable? How do you fight that without form? The simple answer is, you dont."
- Hiragi Matsumaru, Veteran of the Mist Village
Death. Destruction. War. Was this the reason they'd taken him? He didnt even remember his own name anymore.... "Kuro, the Leaf village is just ahead." He nodded and remained silent. "Your mission is to cause enough damage that they wont be able to send reinforcements to their military." Another nod. The man was visibly nervous standing close to 'Kuro'. Well... he was after all, a monster of myth. "You may have to face the Sannin. If you can, kill them." A final nod. "You might want to run now." said 'Kuro'. His blood was boiling. It was their fault he was made into this, their stupid war that had killed his town. though.... its not like this wasnt expected.... Even when he was little more than a toddler, the sparks of war had been obvious. Maybe it wasnt Konoha's fault... Not that it mattered. This was his mission, and he'd complete it. He wasnt a ninja, not a warrior. He was a beast, a living weapon to destroy the enemies set in his path.
The alarms rang out, surrounding Kuro like a demonic Chorus. The town was in flames around him, bodies scattered here and there. His energy swirled around his fists and blades, but still.... The three in his path would not fall. "Tsunade, he's not... a pushover." spoke the silver haired one. He was bleeding, but not heavily. Kuro wasnt worried about it, he wouldn't die even if he was torn apart. The woman was more worrisome, her fists were much like his own, but seemed to less instinctive. The pale one was looking at him like a snake looked at a mouse- a tad bit disturbing, but nothing that could not be dealt with. "Dont you think I can see that Jiraya? He's not even hurt, not even tired." the woman said. She seemed to be suffering from a cracked bone. "We've been fighting for three hours now." The pale one said. "If this takes much longer..." The three seemed to reach an agreement, and the energy he felt from them began to shift. It felt... wrong.... to Kuro's instincts. Dangerous. "This is the longest its taken me to finish a mission in this whole damn wa-" he sank to his knees. His strength, his energy was leaving him. The feeling of loss... it was so familliar... first went his hearing... then his sight... and finally, he began to float in a dreamless sleep....
"Are you sure this will hold him Tsunade?" Orochimaru asked. "He didnt seem like the type that could be easily sealed." Tsunade was checking the crystal that held the boy. "Actually, it should've killed him, but I can still feel a pulse through the crystal. He's stuck there, at least until Sarutobi-sama can get to see him." Jiraya looked at the boy in the crystal. He couldnt be more than eight. "This war has gone on long enough... who would use a child that young like that...?" "That 'child' tore through most of our jounin like ricepaper, Jiraya. He didnt dodge, he didnt even acknowledge any of the damage we did. He was almost like one of the Tailed Beasts." The three left, discussing the boy. And the boy waited. And waited.
"Minato, I want to show you something." Jiraya said. "Yes sensei." A man, blonde in a longcoat responded. They stood in a secret room, seals all over the walls and the crystal in the middle. "This... is starting to fail." Jiraya said, pointing at the crystal. Where there had once been a boy was a toddler, no more than four. "Yes sensei, I can see the cracks." Kuro... that was his name right? He floated there, drowning the voices out. He couldnt remember anything... and soon he wouldnt remember his own name.... soon you will be free
