by ~Disturbed-Demon Hell's Fury Chapter VI Flames of Vengeance Glistening white, the holy temple was hit by breaking sunlight. The trees over the building cracked the sun's gaze into many specs of light. Four slumbering bodies rested peacefully within. Shielsia was in her own large bed with Yazl, sharing warmth for the saddened child. They were covered in thick comforters. Tamoka and AnRak slept on the floor by the fire place. Shielsia was kind enough to provide them both with mats to sleep on. Inside of Yazl's young mind was a surreal joy. He saw it again and again. His whole family was having a barbeque outside on the roof. The sky was white, but the sun was bright. Tamoka and AnRak were there. Yazl knew it was a lie, but he enjoyed it. The oddity of his father asking him if he was still hungry didn't bother him. This was his dream, a fantasy. Shielsia as well was dreaming. In her dream she was dressed in black wraps of bondage. This outfit was not at all to her customary wear. Fretting she desperately searched her closets, looking for appropriate attire, covering her barely concealed chest. She was hiding this shame from the lord. Tamoka appeared before her, she was an evil demon, monstrous in size. She was shrouding the bright room with a dark aura. "We're the same." Tamoka's body was also appeared in bondage, but then she was slain, by the might of AnRak. His swift sword seemed to pop the dark apparition. "You're safe now, sexy" AnRak's deep voice was led by a devious grin, and he was wearing Shielsia's holy garments. He got closer to her. His muscular frame pinned her to the door. "A-AnRak." Shielsia struggled as her innocence was lost. "No AnRak… We mustn't…" The sleeping Shielsia's dace was buried in her pillow, grumbling. Yazl opened his eyes, some what alarmed. Tamoka's slumber trapped her in a cage. There were many people pointing at her, laughing. She was on display in a zoo. Soon the taunting antagonists bombarded her with rocks. Even AnRak came up to her. His body was veiled with shadows. His facial expression too foggy to see. Tamoka attempted to get close to the bars, flexing her claws, but it was useless. Her feet were stuck to the concrete floor. "AnRak, c-can you please…" She tried to ask for help, but no words came out. A darker figure appeared behind her, inside the cage. It nearly was a mirror image of AnRak. In this figures hand was her mother's head. The skin was pale, but the eyes filled with life. "Sweetie…" The head spoke as it's flesh became lighter and then it seemed to turn into a giant beast. The dark figure laughed, it was similar to the laugh AnRak conceived when teasing her, but altered with a monotone droll. Tamoka couldn't escape as the figures arms began to strangle her neck. Her feet would not move, even when she was lifted up by her neck. It was as if she'd been growing. This was her nightmare.
It was midday. AnRak stirred awake. His head was filled of the nightmare. The dreadful images that saw him and Tamoka falling into a pit of hell, which was his perception of it. He looked down beside him. There, asleep was Tamoka. Her wings were wounded, but seemed to be healing quickly. She shivered, from the morning cold. AnRak added his own sheet to her, to remedy the chill. It was now time for him to pray. In front of the alter AnRak kneeled. He placed his hands over his chest, and then brought them forward, holding them out. Each hand was clasped within the other, and then flattened out together. He thought of those lost at Tendo. He prayed to… "God, you watch over all earthly creatures. I come to give my heart to those I care about, to those I lost." He thought of the hunters, which he used to lead and the way they were betrayed. He prayed their souls had been given peace. Next the innocent citizens of Tendo that were killed in the attack by the band of rouge Hellians. Then he prayed for Yazl's family. AnRak felt the deepening holy connection halt when he prayed for Tamoka. "If she truly is a monster, then you hear nothing I have to say. Lord I do not fight for your name, but I fight for life. I care for such a beast…" He knew that demons were condemned in all biblical references. So he wasn't sure how to continue praying. Then he felt a three fingered hand slap the back of his head. "Don't pray for this beast!" Tamoka stood behind him. Her arms crossed, as well as her attitude. He smiled to her. "Forgive me. You truly are not a beast." He was much taller, as he rose. She closed her eyes, and then opened one "Oh? What about the monster remark then?" She looked away, toward the unusually clean windows. She knew the truth. It was absurd for her to fight it. "I know. You're my friend." He felt in his heart that she was not just his friend. In fact he was beginning to realize she was much more to him than that. She ignored AnRak and walked towards the window. Something caught her attention, a dark figure skulking about, by the trees. She could smell it too. They were not alone in the holy forest. Outside there were three creatures, which were part of a clan of demons known as 'Satan's children,' were scheming. Xoyel, the tall female, who nearly looked like a man. Dakrise, the massive beast of a creature. Creed, their leader; a shorter Hellian with three horns suggesting his great power. "Ya sure this is the place?" Creed's usual tone light, toward Dakrise. "I think so…" The large demon's voice was that of a dimwit. He was also carrying a massive drum of gasoline. The scent in the air of Tamoka's blood was heavy. "Yeah, this has to be." Xoyel smiled. She then cluelessly looked to Creed. "So big brother, we're going to get her blood this time right? But what if one of us dies again?" "You kidding?" He began to reassure her. "There aint no place they can sneak to this time." He slowly slid his claw a cross Xoyel's arm, slitting her flesh, catching some blood. The tall girl whimpered. Her stub of a tail twitched upwards, rubbing her slight wound. "Then why collect my blood!" She frowned. "This blood aint for Lucifer. Now, begin the attack!" Creed wasn't one for procrastination or setting time tables. As soon as he gave the order to attack, both Dakrise and Xoyel sprang into action. With a twist of his body, Dakrise hurled the large drum over the church. Simultaneously Xoyel lit an arrow, positioned her body straight and fired. The arrow struck upon the falling drum and it blew into a swarm of fire, which engulfed the whole church. "Now that's an interesting technique…" AnRak commended, carrying Yazl. Him and the others had already left the church and were fleeing through the forest. The explosion stopped them. Shielsia saw her temple burning and fell to her knees crying, tears of sorrow. "Don't compliment their tactics!" Tamoka yelled at AnRak, threatening to hit him again. Wailing Shielsia was actually in agreement with Tamoka. She was clinging to Yazl, acting like she was comforting the boy, while in reality it was her who needed consoling. Yazl's eyes were as lifeless as ever. He could not say or do anything. The loss of his family took his heart and mind away from the world. Viewing the burning church Xoyel and Dakrise had eyes of joy. Creed was not as amused. There was no moaning, no screams, no nothing. He knew they got away. He uncloaked himself extending his wings. Flight in such a branchy forest would be nearly impossible, so he flew above it. The other two followed his example. "What, you really think they escaped?" Xoyel asked, though her eyes were still mesmerized by the patch of burning forest. The three separated, flying in a triangle of direction. Creed had the keenest sense of where they would run too. Opposite direction of Worcester, which is where he would go. He flew that way, gazing through the cracks within the trees. At last he saw the three running, a child being carried by AnRak. "Found you." He took the hand that was drenched with Xoyel's blood and began to form a physical mass. The small form soon turned into a crimson whip. Creed used the whip to chop a hole through the brush. Zooming down, he lashed the whip. Wrapping it around Tamoka's neck. He successfully captured her and brought her out of the forest, pulling her up with him. "Tamoka!" AnRak shouted, giving Yazl to Shielsia. "Get as far away as you can!" "But…" the large woman gulped, taking the boys hand, which had a weak grasp. "Go or you'll be killed!" The severe tone AnRak displayed got rid of her. Hearing this Yazl's eyes regained a bit of soul. His hand tightened on Shielsia's. He didn't want to lose this kind woman. He figured Tamoka and AnRak were strong enough, but knew enough that Shielsia had a will of dough. He lead her away. In the sky Creed was spinning his body. His crimson whip which caught Tamoka by her neck, above her collar, tossed her about. She was choking. Her wings beginning to conflict with the spiraling forces of the wind. She snuck her claws between the painful whip and her neck, prying it off of her. Now she flew, gasping for air, in front of Creed, her wings automatically flapping with a control of their own. "You again." Red faced, she held her neck, which now bore a red burn mark, from the whip. The whip cracked and Creed smiled to her. "Yeah." That's all he said, before the whip came at her once again. She dove down, twirling close to the crimson length, but not touching it, and then her wings caught air, flinging her body up below him. She had the jump on him now. Her fists crushed into his jaw line, forcing him to a higher altitude, then float back downwards. He fell until his wings fluttered in the air. Collecting himself Creed smirked as cocky as ever. "Sorry, but I'm going to need your blood." Though he just took a pummeling to the face, Creed's voice was as joyous. His head tilting, popping his neck back into place. Below AnRak aimed his arrow, holding his bow straight upwards toward Creed. Before he could fire though he met an enemy of his own. Xoyel slashed AnRak's bow into two pieces, the tie holding the weapon together sprawling toward the ground. "Remember me!" Her voice hissed. Her other hand came toward AnRak's face. The man caught her wrist, behind the hot spur and twisted it, nearly breaking her arm. "Oh! The cute one, too bad." His other hand drew his sword, grazing her face with the blade as it emerged from his belt. "That was a pretty face." He was disgusted by her appearance, but in their first encounter he used similar strategies to throw her off. Xoyel gasped angrily. A slit of blood flowing down her face. "Shut up and die!" She demanded, trying to slash at him, but his sword was a much greater weapon. Her long form was her weakness. It kept getting cut, all over. AnRak skillfully wielding his rapier against her. This fight was much easier than before.
The crimson lightning flew through the air. Tamoka flew up against Creed like before, but this time the palm of his hand caught her fist. Her other fist met with the shoulder blade of the same arm. Creed then brought Tamoka's face to his, by kneeing her in the chin. The hand he had evaded dug into his thigh, drawing blood, but she was in a lock. Creed held Tamoka close wrapping the whip around her waist. At last Creed had his prize. Her blood was dripping against the rope now. This wasn't good enough. Both Mic and Hent perished at Tamoka's hands and now Creed required compensation for their lives. "You killed my brothers… Your siblings! Now you shall meet the same fate." His voice overcome with the hatred he stowed away. She would wreak the pain that he suffered. The pain of losing his family. "No" she groaned against him "way!" A second whip wrapped around Creed's neck pulling him off, then retracting itself back to the falling Tamoka. He watched her fall, feeling blood drip down his thigh "heh, clever witch." He refocused his mind, putting vengeance aside. He cleaned his whip of Tamoka's blood inserting the dripping liquid into a vial. "Dakrise will finish her." He yawned slowly falling into the trees, following Tamoka's trail of crumbled branches. On her back Tamoka's whip faded away. She sat up, hearing loud thuds, echo around her. These thuds were foot steps. "The big one…" She recalled their being five of them, last time they met. The small, fat one, the girl, the Aussia, the leader and the brutal one. She gazed at her hands, realizing the whip had left her. She had only her body for the next fight, but she was ready this time. "Where are you?" She kept hearing the thuds, and then saw several trees go down. "Gotchya!" She ran into that direction. She had all intent of slitting the beast's throat. She saw him, tall as tree. Her claws lunged to his neck, it was a killing blow! "You're done killing!" Creed's hands gripped Tamoka's tail and she fell to the ground. Dakrise gasped, holding his neck, Tamoka's claws left scratches, but she didn't get close enough. "Thank me later, now stomp this girl's lungs out, for Mic and Hent!" Creed commanded. The monster nodded, his foot slamming down beside Tamoka, but the nimble girl rolled between his legs, his other foot now tried, but she moved from it as well. Each impact left large holes in the mushy ground. Creed was getting impatient. He began slashing between Dakrise's legs, but she still evaded. Her wings nestled closely to her, so that no part of her could be absorbed into the destructive forces. She then unrolled her tail from between her legs and caught Creed's leg, pulling it into the next crush. The leg's shattering was apparent with a crackling symphony. He howled in pain, jumping away, but falling over, after the second hop, his leg was destroyed. "D-Damn it! Kill her now!" It was too late. Tamoka slithered up Dakrise's body and her thighs straddled the back of his neck. Quickly her hotspurs drew blood from his jugular and the beast fell over. Dakrise was holding his neck, as blood spurted out, the mess spattering all over Creed. Tamoka weakly walked up to Creed. Her hands grabbed him by the neck and picked him up. "You're the last of your kind; now get out of here, before I kill you too!" She had no intention of finishing off Creed. Now knowing that she could beat him and understanding his drive for vengeance, allowed her to not hold such a grudge. Creed would rather die than escape, but he had his mission. The sacrifice of his whole team would have been for not, if he died then and there, with honor. He could not stand on both legs. His broken limb hanging like a dead snake. He was going to retreat, but Tamoka's fist slammed him in the face, pushing him back to the ground. She had to punch him down, because it made her feel better, to vent her anger. She walked away to find AnRak, leaving Creed with his shame, but with all the blood he desired, including a pool of Dakrise's. Poor Xoyel was on the ground crying. She had cuts all over her body, from her opponent's blade. However none of these damages were fatal. AnRak sat on a rock watching the pitiful demon. "Come on… It's not all that bad. You're still pretty tough, plus I bet you get all the attention from the guys." He couldn't kill such a weakling, in fact he felt a great amount of pity for her. "They hardly even notice I'm a girl… They call me Boyel" she cried, hiding her face. Confused AnRak looked at her "well isn't that your name?" "No! It's Xoyel! Zoy-yell!!!!" She yelled her eyes bawling with tears. "What the hell is going on?" Tamoka screamed at AnRak, because he was sitting there, doing nothing, while she had to fight the powerful creatures. "Why the hell aren't you fighting? I mean you could've been helping me instead of just sitting here!" "Come on, Tamoka." He jerked his head toward the crying demon. Tamoka sighed kneeling before Xoyel. Her hand slapped the whimpering demon in the face "get a grip will ya! Your big friend is dead and Creed's mortally wounded, he'll probably need your help or something." "Oh… You beat both of them?" Xoyel's face now flushed with overwhelming mental pain. Tamoka nodded. Xoyel ran away crying. "We'll be back!" Her sobs sounded through out the forest. "What, you're letting them escape? See you are a compassionate creature." Tamoka rubbed the back of her head "yeah right, after the beating I gave Creed. There's no way on Earth he'll be hounding us again." Though she actually did little of the damage to him. "This turned out differently from what I expected." Tamoka tilted her head. She originally expected the two three horned demons to beat her nearly to death so that AnRak and Yazl would go off on a side adventure to find her medical supplies, while her and Shielsia sat in a shed and got to know each other better. "Is it over?" Shielsia crawled out from a large dead tree stump. "I told you to get out of here!" AnRak yelled at her. "It's not her fault Mr. AnRak, she just got tired is all…" Yazl spoke up, holding onto Shielsia's massive hip. "Then it's absolutely her fault!" Tamoka kneeled beside Yazl "but I'm glad to hear your voice again." Yazl then held onto to her with a great big hug. Which afterwards AnRak hugged them both. "I never want to lose any of you!" Yazl pulled Shielsia into the hug as well, but she and Tamoka struggled desperately to get away from each other. "Fine, we'll stay together, besides… You owe me some armor" Tamoka glared at AnRak. "And you need to build me a new temple…" Shielsia gazed up at him, her hands in the praying position. "My armor first!" After Tamoka spouted this, she was hit in the face with Shielsia's golden bible "sure… she brought that with her…" The demon girl fell over, red faced. "I know. I can do both at the same time, but we have quite a journey ahead of us…" AnRak looked to the direction they were heading. "The mountain in which the gate keeper of hell died. There we can build a new temple." He looked to Tamoka "plus their maybe remains of the dragon Gaidra. It's bones will be sufficient for indestructible armor." He helped Tamoka up. Shielsia gulped. She heard stories of the dragon Gaidra. He was an evil creature that brought the end of many lives. AnRak took her hand and placed it on his chest. "Gaidra killed humans and destroyed cities in order to protect the land. Mankind killed the beast, which released hell; it is even recorded in that bible." He explained to her. "He was known as a fiendish monster, the gate keeper… How can it possibly be holy to make a temple there?" She argued, getting her golden bible ready to slap him. "He kept the gate sealed, it was his death that freed the demons, now you can come, or you can stay." He and Tamoka began walking the direction of Mt. Everest which was all the way a crossed the continent. Yazl tugged on Shielsia's robe, forcing her to follow. The journey of the armor was under way. Yazl would constantly pray for his family with Shielsia, which brought both of them joy. AnRak smiled to Tamoka and oddly enough she smiled back without turning her head away. The goal was established. Destination: Mt Everest.
