Earth, a world full of diverse people, each full of things, a place you would not expect the personification of emptiness to look for its champion, yet here the being sat, contemplating a young male of the human species. The boy had been in this room, hardly talking, eating, or even thinking. Truly an empty vessel. However.... something was different about this boy. like he always been empty, this emptiness was just painful as opposed to his previous state. Empty... and full of potential. Still, with his powers as limited as they were for the game, he needed to figure out how the boy had become so painfully empty...
Time travel beyond him, he searched the building for a conversation on the boy, knowing that few adults of any species could stand seeing young in such a state. "Who's the kid in 526? He looks a little young to be on suicide watch." The language was different from the one they had been using with the boy... strange. "526? Thats the kid from the Accident. He'd been found two weeks after the second collapse." This seemed to suprise the first. Empty prodded him to ask more questions concerning the boy. "The Accident... the huge earthquake that rocked us two weeks ago? Wait, you mean that kid is the one that had been trapped between his parents corpses for two weeks or more?!" "Yep, thats the one. They worked with the American embassy. They've done tests on him, and he seems okay physically, but his hair and eyes wont hold natural pigments anymore. And... after being on watch duty for him, I... Im creeped out by him. He's really quiet, and that room's supposed to be soundproofed, but he always knows where the hidden cameras are, and he's always looking at you... his eyes never seem to blink or leave you while you're there. He doesnt cry, he doesnt laugh. Just a very polite thank you, and a bow with an such an amount that you feel like you havent bowed enough.... Not to mention you cant seem to look at him completely. Its just weird." Empty got the information he'd wanted. So, his presence had caused the painful emptiness in the already empty child. That settled it. This was to be his champion... but he'd have to help him control his emptiness... Emptiness took notice, and Destiny Vanished
