I have had feelings for you for as long as I can remember,
I tried to tell you but you pushed me away, because of you I write this poem
This ode to what could have been,
You hurt me more than words can say,
I tried to keep you at bay,
I fell under your spell although I didn’t want to,
I allowed you into my heart when I shouldn’t have,
Why did I believe you?
I knew I shouldn’t have but I let myself do it anyway
I let myself believe your lies,
I got myself lost in your eyes,
In your smile,
And all of your tricks,
I want you to know how much you hurt me,
I want you to see the pain thru my eyes that was, because of you
