tense issues in this one. tense as in like past, present, and future, not it's angsty or anything. though it kinda is SHUSH >_>
See: a car parked outside the window -- not yours Taste: minty gum Smell: the dusty, old smell of your bedroom. Hear: a man on the phone, telling you to get in the car Feel: scared, frightened, sick
Today is the day. Today is the day I start a new life. I look over my old, dusty room, the familiar but strange, alien smell filling my lungs for one of the last times. It's totally empty, and has been for a while. I suppose it isn't even my room anymore, and a terrible gut-wrenching pain clumps together in my stomach. I blow a bubble. For a moment all I smell is my minty breath before I exhale and breath in my memories again. So much happened in this room. My phone rings. I answer it before it can a second time. It's my dad, and he tells me to come out and get in the car. I peer out the window - not really believing it can be time yet- and see him waving. I say alright before hanging up. I lied. It wasn't alright at all. I stood there for a few moments before turning around to face the world. It is the scariest, most terrifying feeling in the world. And at the same time I can't wait.
