Random Rant Of The Day #1 topic: Genders <<NOTE: Being as it is a rant coming from me, things might seem out of order and unorganized>>
What the f*** is with girls vs. guys and their expectations for both sides? I though guys and girls were equal. Well, I suppose they are, in a way...
Have you ever noticed that baby girls have cotton candy pink and baby boys have sky blue as the general color? But both boys and girls can wear any shade of blue and look fine, but any guy who wears any shade of pink ot any age is made fun of for not be 'masculine'? What's with men and their pride? If they wear pants that aren't baggy and fall below their asses, they're considered feminine. Like, its a crime against men to wear, say, or do anything that is associated with girls.
On the other side, girls are expected to always look their best, and act their best. That means two things; "best" according to society is to wear the sluttiest wardrobe they can get their hands on and 'sell' their stuff to men. To others, perhaps parents or an older generation who cares for them, "best" is to be well, their best. I don't know how else to explain it... But continuing on, girls are made fun of if they don't wear clothing that's sexually attractive, much like guys are made fun of if they wear things feminine.
Men are 'allowed' to go after any job career they want, as long as they provide for the family. It also seems fine for guys to just flunk out of school, because if they get a good woman, everything will work out.
While many will argue against it, studies show that if a women and man were applying for the same job and both equally qualified, more likely than not the man would be hired than the woman. So overall, men are supposed to provide for the family, while women are supposed to actually support it. Honestly, how many people can say their dads or husbands do the shopping, cleaning, the cooking...
I suppose that's all I feel like saying. I hope you see my point. I understand if you don't as well....
