I'm currently writing a book, and I really want to test it out. I'm only gonna write the first two chapters or so in my journal, just to see how you (my avid readers rolleyes ) like it. In other words, *turns to friends* Guys! Please read and review! I know that some might mince their words, trying to lessen the blow, but take after Maiyo and Kuro and Tori, and Calope, and Naoko! Don't mince words, and shovel on compliments! Tell me what the hell I did wrong, and I'll make corrections! Everything anyone ever writes, draws, or composes has a damn critic! BE THAT DAMN CRITIC FOR ME! I don't want some simple sentance like:
It's really good!
stare I mean really, sentances with more than five syllables is good for starters...
Anyways, My book is called 'The Leather Book', and it takes place on a planet similar to Earth, in a country similar to (not Japan) the US. It's about this girl, whose name you'll find out at the end of chapter one, who finds an old, brown leather bound book, and takes it home. She gets transported to a strange place which she calls the Dark Hole. Actually, she knew about the Hole before the book, but anyways. She sees this...door. She has to keep coming back to the place before she can actually open it, but in the end, she does, and unleashes a strange new power, whose name you'll find out later...Moving on, this strange new power is in the shape of a winged guy, somewhere between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five physically. And later on, she finds out that her story, including thoughts and feelings about this new person in her life(who ended up living in her home because he really can't go anywhere else without being seen, and called a freak, and arrested by the people he's running from and who imprisoned him there in the first place), is being written into the strange book. She starts writing, and the events she writes start happening to them, only in ways they never imagined!
Does it sound like a good read? Or does it sound like something you could look at eventually? Or does it sound like something that you think is gonna suck, but are gonna read it anyways, because it's like a car accident? (Car accident meaning that you know it'll be bad, you shouldn't look, but you find yourself looking anyway)
