Chapter 5
"Let go of me!" I screamed as I was dangling on a branch with
Terry.
"But I'm saving you from your evil and horrible father, and that
beat up mutt down there." Terry said with disgust. Max got angry
and showed his teeth and claws. Terry kept staring at me.
"What are you staring at?" I said.
Once I said that, he kneel on one knee, and he opened a
ring box with a beautiful ring.
"Will you marry me?" Terry asked really sweetly.
As my father and the army of soldiers were cheering for me to say
yes,(they wanted me to marry him), Max kept saying no. I stared
at Max to give him a sign. He understood what I was saying. And
he smiled at me.
I stuck out my hand, took out my claws, and swung my hand,
across Terry's hand, and the ring box fell and Max caught it.
"I would never marry you," I said,"you don't treat me as well
as Max does." I grabbed a vine from Terry's hand, and swung
down from the tree. Landing where Max was standing with the
ring box. After I landed on the ground, I grabbed Max's hand,
and started to run away from my stunned dad, and Terry. But I
had no idea why they didn't shoot at us.
As we were both running, I asked," Why did you keep the ring?
I thought you were going to throw it in the forest."
"We can sell it and get some money out of it." he said while
looking forward. Then I thought I heard him say under his
breath," Or something else."
I looked at him confused, but he just gave me a smile.
