That day is today! ^-^ *throws confetti* Technically it's my first day anyway. Today is just the orientation and tomorrow is training.
Well, today seems exciting so far, since I've woken up to the sudden sound of a "KABOOM!" from the sky. Yep! There's thunder and lightning over here!! I woke up the first time a little before 10 am. Then I went outside like I usually did and looked up at the cloudy sky for the lightning. It still amazes me. After it calmed down, I went back to bed around 10:30. However, I woke up to another loud "KABOOM!" over my house, and this was about 11:30. And again, I got up to watch the amazingness of the lightning.
You know how cats run to the window when they get excited about something they see? Well, that's what I felt like and probably looked like whenever I went into Dad and Janie's room to watch the lightning out their window. It was the only place in the house you could see it from.
It calmed down again for a while, but now it's 2:14 and the thunder keeps coming back. Just a second ago, it sounded like it was right over the house. I love thunderstorms! They're just so exciting! I hope it's also by where the Wild Animal Park is so I can listen to it during my orientation.
Also, when I was watching the lightning, I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of the scared children at the elementary school right next to me. Does that make me a horrible person? xD
