Pain
I feel the pain that I’ve caused
So bleak and broken
I thought without pause
That I could get away with all this joken'
As your life dwindles down to nothing
As your faith in me fades into the dusk
I become ice for thinking you were my plaything
How will I regain your trust and be valuable like an ivory tusk
It’s my fault for not thinking thinks through
And I have caused you a great sorrow
My feelings for you will always be true
I fear for the things that will happen on the morrow
Though it’s not much I apologize deeply
Through these words I say it so meekly
