I think you'll see that discrepancy...
Anyway, I'm trying to get my information in order here, since a good deal of it accidentally came out of order. A good deal of is either came directly from the book (you can read it there instead of here if you don't believe me) or I guessed, like with the year that Sally was born.
I wasn't quite able to figure out Nite Owl 1 OR 2's birth years, though. >_<; I only know NO is older than Sally-was probably in his very late teens or early twenties... THINK he was twenty when he started out, if not nineteen. I would have to read the book to get my information on him straight. The same goes for Ozymandias/Adrian. I need to read the book again to get any info I DO have on him settled, because I'd stopped with the timeline by that point. u_u;
Here it goes...

1922-Sally Jupiter is born. (this is a guess. She was about eighteen when the Minutemen first assembled, while the Comedian was supposed to be the youngest at sixteen. However, there's a problem with his age. I'll say if the numbers are mine or if they came from the book. XD )
1924-Edward Morgan Blake is born. (This is the year given in the book, but you'll see the big problem I mentioned about his age in just a bit.)
1929-Jon Osterman is born. (again, a guess. He would have turned thirty in the year 1959, so if by a certain point he was thirty in that year it would make sense. This also implies that his birthday is before September. I have data that backs this guess. )
1939- 'Minutemen' assemble; The Comedian is sixteen years old. (Go back to 1924 and do the math yourself if you don't believe me. This really isn't possible, but the book says he's sixteen, and the book says he was born in '24. What you make of it is your own, but I know he should have turned sixteen in '40 for this to make sense. If he was born in '24, he would have been only fifteen, no matter if his birthday had passed or not. In fact, at the youngest he would have been FOURTEEN. Anyway, moving on.)
1940- The Comedian attempts to rape Silk Spectre; Walter Joseph Kovacs is born (and a legacy of sexy did follow that year, didn't it? Sexy red heads, ahh... XD)
1942- The Comedian is fighting in the South Pacific. (It was mentioned in the book. Maybe it's important, maybe it isn't, but it's still mentioned.)
1945: Jon O. is sixteen years old. (Mentioned in the book.)
1946- Sillhouette causes a scandal when her status as a lesbian is revealed. Minutemen kick her out; Sillhouette is killed six weeks after her outing, alongside her lover.
1947-Silk Specter marries her agent, Schexnayder.
1949-Laurie Juspezcyk (Silk Spectre 2) is born.
1951- Walter K. blinds a bully and is sent to a Children's home; Walter is ten years old at the time that this event occurs. (Believe it or not, this actually DOES make sense, unlike the Comedian's dealy. If this event happened before his birthday in March-and it couldn't have happened at any other time- he would have been ten.)
1956- Walter K. is sixteen. He leaves the childcare facility and acquires work as an unskilled garment worker. (Again, this info is in the book, but it IS possible as long as it happened AFTER his birthday in March. Don't think I'm trying to trick you or anything. D< ); Walter's mother dies.
1958: Ozymandias is active
1959- Jon O. is thirty years old. Between August through November, events occur including the accident and his learning to reassemble himself. In order, the events are these:
August, 1959: Jon and Janey begin a relationship. Jon's accident occurs.
September, 1959: a memorial service is held in place of a real funeral for Jon.
November 10th, 1959: Jon manages to assemble his circulatory system (including his brain and his googly eyes. XD) before dissipating.
November 14th, 1959: Jon manages to assemble his skeleton and some of his muscles. (but no eyes this time, suprisingly. O.o; )
November 22nd, 1959: Jon manages to completely assemble himself to become Dr. Manhattan.
1960; Hollis/Nite Owl meets Ozymandias and Dr. Manhattan for the first time.
1962: Hollis opens an auto repair shop and writes 'Under The Hood.' Reveals that Dan is not quite yet Nite Owl 2 during writing of the book, but quickly becomes so; (Guess: Nite Owl becomes NO 2 in 1962); Laurie J. is twelve years old.;
Walter comes by the dress that he cuts up to make the Mask. Walter puts the stuff in a trunk and forgets about it for two years. Walter is 21 before March of this year, and 22 after March of this year.
1964: Walter is twenty-four years old; Kitty Genovese is murdered; Walter finishes and wears the mask; Walter creates Rorschach identity and becomes active.
1965: Silk Spectre 2 is active.
1966: The Comedian, Silk Spectre 2, Nite Owl 2, Rorschach, Captain Metropolis, Ozymandias, and Dr. Manhattan all meet each other for the first time (exempting Ozy and Comedian and NO 2 and Rorschach. ) in a meeting for 'The Crimebusters.' The meeting is effectively a disaster and they never do this again. ; Janey leaves Jon upon realizing he is attracted to Silk Spectre 2, who is just sixteen years old at the time.
1969: Jon's father dies.
1970: Jon publically releases his full name, revealing his identity (Jonathan Osterman); Jon moves into an apartment with Laurie J. ; Laurie is twenty years old.
1971: Richard Nixon personally requests that Jon to intervene in the Vietnam War; Wally Weaver (friend/colleague of Jon's ) dies of Cancer.
1975: Ozymandias reveals his identity as Adrian Veidtl Nixon runs for President yet again; The Blaire Roche kidnapping and murder occurs; Blaire Roche's murder causes Walter to completely take on the identity of Rorschach.
1977: The Keene Act is passed, outlawing all forms of Vigilantes except for The Comedian and Dr. Manhattan.
..........
And finally, 1985, when all this crazy s**t goes down.
You know, the whole 'case' goes up to about November first from about October twelth?
Then Dan and Laurie meet Sally for Christmas under their new identities.
I'll leave the events of 1985 to those who would read the book. ^_^;
It's pretty comprehensible to begin with, but I didn't write down the dates or memorize them completely.
Incidentally, a note to Seseilia if you ever read this (probably won't):
I was right: Rorschach IS short. He's 5'6. He is nowhere near Dan's supposedly tall height of six feet or whatever... speaking of which, his height is never mentioned. Read it and weep. XD
(The fact that I got something like that right when I hadn't yet read the book while you got it wrong even after having read the book fascinates me. Then again, I just plain like being right. It occurs so rarely, you see... XD )
