One of my top favorite nineties songs: it came over the radio a couple of weeks ago and I was struck by the romantic yet sorrowful memory of it. I literally haven't heard this song in more than a decade. Consider the fact that it was actually released back when I was, like, five but remember hearing it first when I was about six years old, and, well... I really liked the song back then due to the guitar and the near mystic-sounding singing voice. Here's to one of Hope's best works with Mazzy Star!
~Fade Into You by Mazzy Star
A E Bm I want to hold the hand inside you A E Bm I want to take the breath that's true A E Bm I look to you and I see nothing A E Bm I look to you to see the truth
(A E Bm) You live your life You go in shadows You'll come apart and you'll go black Some kind of night into your darkness Colors your eyes with what's not there
A E Bm A Fade into you A E Bm Strange you never knew A E Bm D A Fade into you A E Bm I think it's strange you never knew
Solo - A E Bm (x3) D A E Bm
(A E Bm) A stranger's light comes on slowly A stranger's heart without a home You put your hands into your head And then smiles cover your heart
(A E Bm...D) Fade into you Strange you never knew Fade into you I think it's strange you never knew
(A E Bm...D) Fade into you Strange you never knew Fade into you I think it's strange you never knew
(A E Bm...D) Fade into you Strange you never knew Fade into you I think it's strange you never knew I think it's strange you never knew
