lol i wrote's more! Well I have never been anywhere truly exciting. Never smelled the scent of the ocean off the shores of Japan, never hunted the jungles pride, never laid in the blue grass of Kentucky. Life wasn’t the same here as my ancestors say it was. They say it was green, everything was green. It always rained and prospered everything grew nothing died. I was dragging my feet across the Mozambique plains. I see death all around me. I was cast away by my villagers into this pit of death. I can see oxen and cattle strewn all over the Havana nothing but bones the vultures were to be sure of that. I looked around to see flocks waiting for me to drop dead. No. I will hold on I could see them watching me with their greedy little black eyes. I sang a song of peace among our people. Time passed I could see the black and purple masses of vultures following me. They were expecting me to drop dead like the other living things did. I thought about it for a while I was like the vultures I was cast away from everyone, wanted to be dead and wished had never been born. Maybe I and the vultures were cast away for different reasons but I know we have something in common. They where hungry I was sick. They are anxious for food I was anxious for health. They have feathers all over their body. I have holes. My people cast me away because about the time I caught the disease was about the time the drought started. My people said I was so hideous the God’s turned their backs on our villages’ so they threw me out hoping, praying I would die. So the God’s would smile among our people again. I lifted my heavy head and looked into the horizon I saw something coming straight at me was it a stampede? Or was I hallucinating? My sweet amabo told me long ago that if you were in the great golden rays of the staff of the God’s you would begin to see things you usually would not. Life was hard. In all of my thoughts and fears I was speechless here came the item of mystery thrashing piles of dust in the air as it sped around in turns. I could hear something I never heard before it had a thumping beat like a drum, but if it were drums. What kind? I heard the high pitched voice of a woman or an undeveloped man. As it came closer it stopped, right beside me. A girl was sitting on the beast joined with two other girls accompanied by four young men. One of the girls with white skin and curly long blonde hair said. “HI there.” In a weird kind of voice. “H-Hello.” I said trying to remember what amabo taught me on speaking the white man’s words. “May we ask why you’re out here by yourself?” She snickered. “My name is Moses, and I come here from the village of Mozambique because of my disease. I am not allowed to come back.” I replied. A Tall older man jumped out of the truck with enthusiasm. He trotted over to me and grabbed my arm examining the wounds very carefully he took out a circular piece of glass and held it up to my wounds. “Um-hmm” he mumbled. “Looks like you’ve got yerself a good case of chicken pox.” He smiled. “I wouldn’t recommend eating fruits like figs n’ such. And try to avoid itchin’ umm.” He grinned. “Yer village cast you out because of a small case a’ chicken pox? Well, being sick and being in the sun are to things you don’t wanna mix together! Why don’t you ride with us we’re headed over into the village of Uganda, would you like to join us?” He smiled. “What are you doing in Uganda?” I asked. “Well Uganda needs a medic and we are going up there to take a look at people, well people like you who need doctorin’” He smiled would you like to join us? He asked. “Yea, please join us!” The sun haired girl called from inside the beast. “Only you must tell me what it is.” I said. “What, what is?” he said. I walked up to the shiny blue beast and kicked it. “This.” I replied. They All started in laughter. “This is a Cadillac. You know a car?” I shook my head. “I do not know a car.” I said. “Well, you know how you walk to go places? Well we drive cars.” He said. I was lost at ‘drive’. I just got into the ‘car’ without another word. The car made weird noises as it started running. It ran faster then any other animal I had seen! Like the lion or the buffalo or the antelope. The wind in my face cooled the sweat dripping down my cheeks. I watched the man turning this wheel, when he turned the wheel the car changed directions. He reached over and touched a little black button. The singing started again. I turned to the girl sitting next to me and asked. “What noise is that singing?” she grinned and said. “Its white man music, ya like it?” I didn’t know it was all so strange and weird I said yes. We drove for a long time until we passed a little sign saying. ‘Welcome To Uganda.’ We drove passed the sign so swiftly I think I saw it sway. The roads where red like mangos. The people there were caring neighbors to the hospital people were dead on the entrance. Children were carrying little brothers and sisters across the streets on their backs letting them pee on them. I had managed to let a tear slip down my face. They white people where right this place did need doctoring. It was nothing how amabo described. We kept driving through the city until we came to a yellow/white building.
We stopped there. I hopped put of the car. I looked around me I saw a mother cleaning water pots on the bank with a baby strapped to her back. I know my village was bad but when I was here I felt like crying. I stood there unbelieving, as a little girl with yarned hair came bouncing up to me and said. “Hi!” I said. “Hello, what’s your name?” “Paruise!” She exclaimed. “What’s yours?” She grinned. “Moses.” I replied. She smiled then ran off. I could tell from that point in time I was going to love being in Uganda. I looked around me and could tell the scent of change was in the air. Things may be horrible but there was enough love in the people to make up for all of it. My sweet amabo gave me a coin from Uganda it had a bird with tall hair on it. I saw a boy about my age running past. I said. “Hey can you tell me where I can buy things with this?” He looked at me then at the coin. He then pointed to a little shaded stand. A woman was serving the costumers, she had yarned hair on the tip of each braid was a multicolored bead, her skin was a perfect bronzed gold, she was wearing a wrap of flowered print with black scorpions. She looked over at me and smiled he grin showing a perfectly placed smile. She seemed to know I wanted to buy something and seemed to notice I was not from around here.
