Tacoma police were investigating a shooting that left one young man dead early Wednesday and another seriously wounded.
No arrests were reported Thursday.
Investigators were able to interview the surviving victim Thursday, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said. The 20-year-old man reportedly was recovering from the shooting at St. Joseph Medical Center.
He was in his apartment in the 9300 block of South Steele Street early Wednesday when two gunmen barged in and fatally shot 20-year-old Joshua Gatbunton, who was staying at the apartment, police said.
The two gunmen then went into the man’s room and shot him.
No further information about the incident was released Thursday. Investigators have said they suspect the shooting was targeted and robbery might be a motive.
Friends of Gatbunton’s family set up a donation account for him Thursday. Donations can be made to Kimberly D. Knoll-Ayala For Benefit of Gatbunton Family at any Washington Mutual bank branch.
