Rosalie lay in bed now for two hours, unable to sleep. The cool summer air bellowing through her window kept her relaxed but the fact that her brother had tried to lie to her and start a war was unbearable. Now why would he do that? Rosalie asked herself in thought. She turned onto her side, resting her ear on the pillow. Her soft fox tail was twitching with disappointment and it was almost annoying. There was nothing going on, otherwise she would feel it. Then again, the Fire lands were known for their sneakiness and wits. Would they possibly attack them tomorrow? Morning, Afternoon…Evening when all were asleep? “No, it’s impossible. I would know about it…” Rosalie buried her face in the pillow. Her mind was being torn to pieces with her brothers’ words. She was so wound up in this mess that she fell asleep almost instantly.
“Raise your sword and fight, little one…or drop it here and find a new crazy idea to keep alive.” A man sniggered. “And maybe I’ll let you live longer than intended.” A small girl, about six or seven, was standing in front of a practical army. She had long white hair with blue eyes, and ears and a tail: that of a foxes’. “I beg to differ…” She chided, slashing her sword in a mastered manor. One swing equals one life. That was her rule. Nothing more would come from her or her opponents for the rest of the night were she to keep this up. She had already murdered down some of the weaker ones in the army in front of her. Her countries military had infiltrated this base to keep the enemy at bay. “Charge!” The general yelled as rows and rows of men came at her, a rather large snow leopard pouncing upon them with blood ridden teeth as he began to eat the remains of the humans, each limb and each appendage didn’t go to waste for the girls ‘friend’.
Rosalie awoke with a great start, sweat beading her forehead with a terrorized scar to her mind. There was no way she could put up with this memory of hers, otherwise something horrible might happen. It wouldn’t be right for her to take away others memory rather than to take away her own along with it, but she needed to remember to give it back at some point in time. Otherwise, great consequences would come out of it and things would be chaotic around the world lest she were to die at the hands of her brother for the sake and protection of her people.
Toshiro, on the other hand, was dreaming something totally different than his sister. The girl he met as a small child was the only thing he saw in his dreams. He murmured her name under his breath, shredding his pillow with his claws as he could swear that she was only beyond his reach. “Miirik-san…” He murmured again, his face was demented with pain and sorrow, sweating with desire to see her again. “Come back…”
The rather young green dragon sat, dirt being carried on the hem of her dress skirts. She was smiling, laughing even, at the small boy in front of her, his white spotted ears and tail twitching with enjoyment. The sky was clear and it hadn’t snowed in days. It was rather odd that nothing happened. But then, as a turn of events, the clouds turned to soot gray and gloom shadowed the very lands. The children scattered before they were snowed in their own front yards for life. The dragon, a full demon, was in her usual human form, keeping her wings, horns and tail. Boy that was a big mistake. Her wings acted as a paper in the wind and blew her off to someplace far away from the boy, never to return to the barren lands of snow. The boy yelled after her, the girl yelling back in return, hoping to be caught and protected from what lay ahead, but the boy was to slow, and the girl suddenly vanished within the clouds, disappearing forever.
Toshiro woke with a start, breathing heavily. Something seemed to be wrong with him that was for sure. The only thing was he hadn’t had a fever, he checked when he came back and felt a bit light headed. He was only tired from the trip. But now that he’s back, something did seem like a fever. “Sorrow…” It was yelled at him in his beloveds’ voice. Calling out to him in his dark chamber, he could swear he felt her embracing him, trying to comfort him. “I’ve missed you so much…” He said, but he found no one there but the gleam of the moon, shining upon his bed side, where the girl should be laying beside him instead of off somewhere alone and in trouble. Something wasn’t right, and he knew it.
Rosalie was still trying to fall asleep without throwing all her caution to the wind. She knew deep within her heart that the Fire Lands wouldn’t attack without good reason, but why would Toshiro think they would if word hadn’t come from any checkpoints around the border? It was weird and it made her head hurt. She turned to the other side and faces her window and stared at the moon for her own concentration. “There isn’t a reason they would attack and it’s highly impossible to do so without someone knowing.” She murmured to herself. “Maybe a peace treaty is in order, and then we wouldn’t have to worry?” Rosalie threw the idea away. There wasn’t any way that the King and Queen would allow such a thing, especially after the wars before hand, but the peace treaty was what the people needed. “Maybe they would accept it if I showed them I meant no harm?” She shook her head and looked at the moon. She could sense it was almost morning. The sun would be rising soon enough, so there was point in sleep. But almost as if on cue, her eyes fluttered shut and she finally fell asleep for the next few hours that were left in the night. This time, she knew that she had a problem on her hands, and it wasn’t one she could solve on her own. She was going to need help on this one; and lots of it.
