Okay, so I originally wanted my next journal entry to be that profile I've been trying to work on forever. However, I'm still getting absolutely nowhere with that thing. Maybe when I get my evil research paper out of the way, I can actually concentrate on that profile, and get it mostly finished anyway.
I have been working on that giant playlist again, though. I think I've finished it, for the most part. Until some random new song comes along that I HAVE to add. Now I'm actually thinking of burning a mix CD set for this. But first I need to get some more CDs. D:
So I got a little brave with the playlist. I started adding country songs, and one Miley Cyrus song (yes, I like Miley Cyrus. don't you judge me!). XD
Which brought up a question: Why does everyone think EVERY country song is all about "my dog died, my truck died, my girl left me...", or "omg alcohol!". You have no idea how many people I hear that from.
That's as bad as saying that all rap music is about drugs and hoes. If you actually LOOK FOR THEM, you can find plenty of songs that have more meaning than that. Same goes for country.
I will agree that there are a lot of "my guy/girl left me" songs in country. But what genre doesn't have a ton of that? And with songs that are sad, try pointing out a genre of music that doesn't have anything depressing. You're not going to find one, most likely.
I have yet to actually find a song that's all about a truck or a dog dying.
Seriously, don't judge it off of one or two songs, and if you're going to bash one genre because of stupid things like that, you may as well bash them all. They ALL have a little of it somewhere.
