Since I wrote the last journal entry, was sitting - meant to do something, other than sit at computer for the length of the day -- although on thinking on it, I did read some more of my book....
Anyway, as I was sitting, realized [due to desktop machine being off to eliminate fan noise] that one of partner's external hard drives buzz-growls keyed to the furnace cycle - pretty much every 20 minutes, on the dot.
Brain feels fuzzy now, like I do when I'm around high voltage lines. Entire day, of mentally timing and anticipating the next growl, despite trying to do other things -- brain shifts focus in anticipation of the interruption from whatever task I am currently on.
Powered off half of the drives now, for process of elimination - pretty sure we know which one it is [LED indicator on one of them of two identical drives is dimmer than other], but figure I'll use half-assed scientific method to come to conclusion, rather than going by what I feel/sense - as it just comes --- hrm, just happened again, so probably not that drive - didn't unplug them though, but the way it sounds, it should be something powered on that is creating the sound, if it is something simply plugged in but off, other devices would be likely having huge problems.
