Chapter 5. The Girl's Brother.
I nee-d to ge-t up.
I couldn't think very clearly.
Everything I thought of kind of slured.
My body was numb.
My brain almost mush.
"Leave her alone!" The little girl shouted.
"Too late! She'll be dead soon!"
I believed him.
The girl screamed a high pitched scream and I heard a thud.
I couldn't tell what was going on.
My vision was blurred.
"St-Stay away!" It sounded like Henry.
Then everything was silent.
I felt cold hands lift me up.
I couldn't tell who or what it was.
"Come Max." The voice calmly ordered.
Max followed.
"Rose, are you okay?" The voice asked.
"Whe-wha-who...?" My words seemed to slur together like my thoughts.
The voice laughed.
"Rose, It's okay, your going to be fine."
My eyes opened and I saw the little girl.
"Hello Rose! I'm Alishia." She said and patted my forehead respectfully.
"I'm Ben." I looked up and saw a beautiful face staring back at me.
It took my breath away and my face turned red.
"Rose this is my brother."
"Wh-where's Henry and my mom?"
I managed to say.
"Henry fled with her, we dont know where they are..." Ben's voice trailed off.
Max wagged his tail and licked my face.
"Yuck!" I said and wiped my face.
Max barked.
I got up and gazed at Ben.
He just looked at me with deep yellow eyes.
He must be a vampire, which makes Alishia a vampire.
Who cares!
I was deep in thought when I felt a cold hand on my face, it made me shiver.
"Sorry, you smell good."
That made Alishia laugh.
I smiled.
"So do you have anyplace to stay?" Ben asked.
"Uh..."
My words where inturrupted when Ben's face came closer to mine.
"Wh-what are you doing?" I spit out.
"Your eyes...there gold! Are you a vampire?"
"Last time I checked no." My face was flushed and my heart beated against my chest.
His face was inches from mine, his eyes where beautiful.
"Oh, well your eyes are a beautiful gold for a human."
"Thanks."
"Alishia, go get mom." Ben said still staring in my eyes.
"Okay, love birds!" She teased.
His icey breath chilled my bottom lip and it quivered.
"Are you happy?" Ben smiled.
"Wh-what?"
"Are you happy? Because I read some human's eyes change color! It's really werid, I've never seen it before..."
His voice trailed off as he stared at my eyes.
"Is that bad?" I was still alittle puzzled.
"Oh, no no! I think it's actually attractive." Ben smirked.
I heard Alishia giggle by the door.
"Ben, What is it you-" She looked at me, as Ben backed up to a safer distance.
"Who's your friend?" She smiled at me.
"Mom, this is Rose." Ben said and guestured towards me.
"Hello Rose. I'm Lilyen, glad to eat you...I mean meet you." She grinned and showed her fangs.
I shivered.
She was skinny and had crimson eyes, with pale skin and sandy colored hair.
She reminded me of Henry, but she did not look as blood thirsty as he did.
Lilyen held out her pale hand.
I shook it.
"Nice to meet you too." I smiled.
Max barked in agreement.
Ben sat next to me.
I felt his cold hand on mine.
