First off, keep in mind this was started in a high school geometry class. I wasn't interested in the questions on locus/loci. Two, it's not finished yet. And another thing...does anyone know what generation the teenagers of 2008 are? Never mind. I figured it out.
Homosexuality
Call me liberal. Call me Satanist. It won't change my views on homosexuals. Those that call me a Satanist likely don't know what a Satanist is, but if I start on the different forms of Satanism and Luciferianism here, I'll get sidetracked from the subject of homosexuality. For one of the primary arguments against it, the Bible, an important religious document to those of Abrahamic faith. No, I'm not bashing those of Abrahamic faith. Simply this: In the Bible, it states that God is present in all forms of love. It's also said to judge not lest you be judged. So, leave the judging of a homosexual's soul to your God. Humans are fallible, and can easily misunderstand and/or misjudge.
Onto argument number two of anti-homosexuals, about it 'being unnatural'. Within the animal kingdom, most animals are truly bisexual, there is heterosexual mating solely for the purposes of continuing the species. some animals can reproduce with two of the same gender. I'll point here to the whiptail lizard. There are others who reproduce homosexually to be sure, but seeing as I'm writing this in a high school geometry classroom, I can't look up more. But back to my point-- Female whiptail lizards can reproduce with another female and bear young without the aid of the male gender. Although human beings cannot yet sexually reproduce with the same gender, it still stands that humans are part of the animal kingdom, so therefore homosexuality is perfectly natural.
Now onto homosexual parenting. A pair of homosexual parents doesn't mean that the child is without a proper mother or father figure. Most times one of said homosexuals will take the role of one parent and the other act as the other parent. Personally I'd believe that the child may even be happier with queer parents, as it would be much easier for the child to talk to their parents about their problems. Back to my point though -- one male would tend to be the masculine one, who works his hard job and the other acts as a mother, more concerned with home issues and the children. By no means do I believe that gender decides how you help in domestic living. Look at how many women today go to college and work full time jobs, which was long a male only thing. By all means men can go ahead and do this as well. I'd encourage everyone to seek, to grow and learn, and find what makes them happy and gives their life fulfillment. Of course, if that means taking two weeks from school to go on a road trip with your friends, of course you should go if it makes you happy. (and your grades aren't atrocious wink )Most likely you'd learn without realizing it. But I'm getting sidetracked again, so back to the subject of homosexuality.
Here's a very short and simple point before I get on to views of homosexuality from a newer day, the views held by those of the Y Generation, or the iGeneration if you will. If you hate homosexuals, then look to blame the straight couples as much as you do the homosexuals, or the devil, or whatever else. Because it's straight couples that produce the gay/lesbian/bisexual children.
So yeah, like I said, it's not done yet and I've got a few fill-in-the-blank spots...but beyond that, what do you Gaia users think?
